As for the game you have leeway to do whatever you want. Interact with NPC's or eachother or explore the Headquaters or even roam about Xan-Shi.

I find when playing an anti-social character it's good to have a foil of some kind to make them do stuff they wouldn't normally do.

Haha the rule will still apply 250 XP for all the players. If I get it, it just means that no one will get the 500 bonus XP grand-prize.
