Savriel's done. Totes had plans, but seems that'd be a bad idea now. =p
Not complaining, though!

I'll have as much fun either way, it's just a matter of what makes sense to the story and the character in the situation, she wouldn't leave the group (or Kjersti) after that little spectacle!

Alright, now I'm done, haha. Figured Savriel is the type to bring some comfort with her wherever she goes, so the handy haversack seemed like a solid choice to bring a portable mini campsite along!

Shunning seemed appropriate on a day like today...
So how did Friday the 13th become such an unlucky day? Dossey, also a folklore historian and author of Holiday Folklore, Phobias and Fun, said fear of Friday the 13th is rooted in ancient, separate bad-luck associations with the number 13 and the day Friday. The two unlucky entities ultimately combined to make one super unlucky day. Dossey traces the fear of 13 to a Norse myth about 12 gods having a dinner party at Valhalla, their heaven. In walked the uninvited 13th guest, the mischievous Loki. Once there, Loki arranged for Hoder, the blind god of darkness, to shoot Balder the Beautiful, the god of joy and gladness, with a mistletoe-tipped arrow. "Balder died and the whole Earth got dark. The whole Earth mourned. It was a bad, unlucky day," said Dossey. From that moment on, the number 13 has been considered ominous and foreboding. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n..._friday13.html |

Sven has been shunned by Fjorgyn, Goddess of Earth for his actions and attitudes. This prevents his followers from casting spells on him. There is a way to fix this, However:
1. Kjersti may or may not know how: Knowledge Religion DC 25 2. A bishop of Fjorgyn would know how. DiG

Wait, so PCs can casually fling powerful curses on each other, just like that?
Well, okay! As long as Savriel can still provide the healing of her runestone or her own magic, should keep Sven alive if there's a critical wound or two.

I don't think it was done casually. Offending a goddess (a viking goddess at that) to her face is not without its consequences.
Cheers to Dig for allowing us to explore those consequences. Kjersti and Sven are now tied together in a very weird and interesting way. Plot twists like this make a game epic! |

Well, I'm not usually a fan of PCs having such direct relationships with deities, especially acting as such personal conduits for them. It's not really how I run divine casters, myself, as I'd never consider a mortal worthy of being able to represent a god in any capacity beyond as a worshiper or priest. At least not without access to higher level powers, such as commune, or drawing attention in a big way with actions large enough to actually catch the eyes of such powerful beings. I trust Digorig has a better handle on it than me for his setting, and as a DM, though!

This is not so much a PC 'doing' to another PC. It is more - in my humble opinion - just good role play. Kjersti is a SERVANT of the goddess. She gets her magic powers from that service, as a reward if you will. Sven pissed off thew goddess, and with Kjersti being associated, she chose to penalize HIM instead of her - taking away all her powers.
FYI, MB did ask me by PM about this first and I allowed it, so feel free to send me your cards and letters... LOL YES, Sav is free to heal Sven..she has a different and un-offended god/godess. DiG
