One post per day is sort of the common standard for people like me, who have tons of free time. But I also understand how busy people can be, or what is it like to "not feel like posting". All in all this is just a game, so I won't mind too much, plus I have really gotten used to the 3~4 posts per week standard lol.

Sorry, I have homework and stuff, and sometimes inspiration doesn't strike for a couple of days. 3-5 posts in a week is good with me. I post whenever I can in any game.

No worries. I have homework too but I just haven't been feeling like working on it lol. I have to do a presentation on my paper tomorrow, it's technically all done, but I haven't been feeling like reviewing it or making notes for the presentation... I'll have to do that soon whether I feel like it or not however.

It's 9 pm, and I haven't even typed up what I wrote for my paper yesterday. I sense Sunday will be crazy. Bright side, did tomorrow's homework.

Why can't we all just live in mansions and simply post as soon as someone else does because we have nothing else better to do? Not saying we have to own the mansion. But still... Wouldn't it be nice?

I don't need a mansion, I am a loner who never entertains.

Just pop my brain in a vat of preserving liquid hooked up with an internet connection and a constantly upgrading set of tech to play games on and i would be a happy camper.

Oh man, I halfway through I forgot all about itwas going to reply "if we all live in a mansion, we may as well as play in real time lol", even though my RP skills would suffer if I were to do this face to face, not to mention you guys would hear how atrocious my English is. (I do have some RP skills, I just don't really use them in this game.)

I am much better at RPing on PbP than in real life. If I don't have time to think about my replies, and the ability to leave and do other things, I get stressed out. Its friggen annoying.

Plus real life games always seem to get bogged down with dice and actions, ignoring all the chat and combat descriptions.

I am imagining Ruffles putting together that golem at some point in the future, but accedentally giving it sentience without realising it. Someone else comes to deliver something and finds it and it speaks for the first time.

"Kill me, for I am delicious..!" as it stumbles toward them.

That reminds me of a science fiction thing, from "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy"... In one of the novels they have animals engineered to literally want to be eaten (and capable of speech, telling people to eat them!) The reasoning is that it's better to eat an animal who wants to be eaten than one that doesn’t want to be eaten.

Ha! I am playing a gender neutral god in another game, and I guess the habit slipped over to this game.

English really does need a gender neutral pronoun...

@Fon: It is one of those weird ethical areas. The person who creates them is evil for perverting their wills in that way, but the people eating them are totally ethically sound so long as the creature understands it is being manipulated by genetics and wants to be eaten anyway. XD

The idea of Tipping always seemed odd to me. It is like giving a company the excuse to under pay their employees.

I have heard some poor excuse like it promotes good service, since poor servers get less tips. But if your service staff is giving consistently bad service you just fire them. :P

The problem with pronouns is that people will conflate gender and sex. Gender is a personality base, sex is dangly parts and jiggly bits. I prefer to use the pronouns as per sex, because that's what's concrete and obvious. Many TG people disagree, because of the sense of the gender they want to be, and a feeling of oppression in regards to a pronoun that does not match that target state. People under mental stress of that sort are apt to see oppression, because their minds are wary of it. Bad thing, *hiss*! Coping mechanism, but it can cause problems in regards to what one person means versus what is observed. No, he didn't know anything about your weird pronoun fetish, and he didn't mean to offend by not catering to it, because he couldn't have reasonably been expected to know the paradigm the offended person is running on at a quick glance.
