Before I do a character sheet I have a question about starting equipment and spell lists...are we using an altered pathfinder spell list or a scratch spell list?

You get spells like you do in Dark Souls (By Buying Them.) Not through game progression. You'll get a free spell at the game's start.

What about starting equipment? And spells lots are the same as our classes or are we binding attunement (spell slots) to our main casting stat?

Your starting equipment will depend on your class. (They'll be pretty bad, though.)
Your attunement is how many spells you can have available at a time. You can upgrade it through the bonfire during the game. The Spells per Day system will be replaced with a Spells per "Last time you sat at a bonfire" system. You can OWN as many spells as you'd like, but you can only bind a certain amount at a time. If I have an Attunement level of 2, I can bind 2 Level 1 Spells. (I'll post a table about this soon.) That means If I own let's say... Heal Fireball Dark Hex and Soul Arrow I can only bind two of these to my character at a time. Last edited by Hanz; Mar 21st, 2014 at 06:35 AM. |

Ok I'll be waiting for a table and full info. I suppose a magus wouldn't be starting with a scimitar/rapier? And we are using Dark Souls attributes right?

I'm not done with the character creation notes. The game should be ready to go on the 24th or 25th.

My apologies if this sounds like a incessant mechanical whine, but there are two combat maneuvers that seem to logically clash with the might soul tree. The first being desterous step, an ability adding dex into your damage roll...for someone statting into might so far to get a dex boost in damage by a couple points this would make little sense to a strength fighter, and honestly I laugh when I imagine Havel the Rock performing such a maneuver. The second is the five finger exploding palm, a monk inspired move that requires a deal of precision and focus that doesn't seem to fit with the might archetype, I would consider putting this into an endurance or vitality based tree since those focus on the full body and thus more control of your energy or etc compared to increasing your arm width.

Duly noted. Will swap them up.
Also, I really think you should all just put your characters in before I'm done, I really thought I'd finish all this stuff while we're playing, not before. |

Well I am still waiting for starting equipment notifications, starting SLs (if any) and starting sorceries/miracles/pyromancies by class (if any) which IS relevant information to paste onto a character sheet prior to posting it down.
