Your inventory is limited, because the larger items are left at home. Put on what you can equip, and spend money snazzing it out. Masterwork joy buzzers and the like. You still get a nice 3000gp to work with(1 gp is roughly 10 dollars), but you don't actually have that level of cash. You just have toys you've picked up in your line of work.

Character Application! White Rabbit, Tobias Tyrool "Keep calm, I will read it books until it dies from knowledge!" Name: Tobias Tyrool, also known as the White Rabbit. Class: Sorcerer (Because they're SO MUCH better than wizards.) Race: A Delightful little Human Alignment: Lawful Good (I guarantee, this is the FIRST EVER Lawful good character who ISN'T a Cleric/Paladin.) Method of Concealment: Never mind them! Tobias is rarely even noticed let alone noticed when doing magic. He usually keeps to himself and his books, trying his best to stay away from trouble. Superpowers: Wild Magic: They never asked him, did he WANT magic? He just wanted to be alone with his books. Nope, they had to go ahead and give him MAGIC! He's mastered some spells to use, but he's still a bit iffy on the whole situation, and is prone to just spontaneously cast some bad news. Curse: THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT! Tobias is not only stuck with permanent bunny ears, which he keeps uncomfortably hidden from view, but he also turns into a monstrous Were-Rabbit. When he is in Were-Rabbit form, he turns Chaotic Neutral. Which means he can attack both ways. It should be easy to direct him at the bad guys, just throw a carrot at them! Here boy, go fetch! Short Background: Tobias' life was boring and mundane until the day his parents revealed to him that he was in fact a wizard. He had been starting to do "Weird stuff" like levitating objects, shooting ep1c l4z0rz, and other harmful things. He promised his parents he would never use his powers for evil, and would work for the betterment of mankind. Instead he spends his days reading book after book, not really "Working towards the betterment of mankind" nor its destruction. He's just.. lazily falling deeper into his books, like an endless mimic that devours him from outside. That is, until he stumbled upon the Tome of Curses, a powerful book that - if thrown in the wrong hands - can cause the devastation of humanity. He didn't know that, and scimmed the book, finally reaching a chapter titled Lycanthropy. Not knowing what that meant, Tobias began to read these pages, and he accidentally cast an incantation on himself that turned him into a Horrible Werebunny! Oh the Humanity!

Application Name: Kira Sax Race: Human (Mostly) Class: Psychic Warrior (Meditant) Method of Concealment: Never Mind Them Kira tried talking to people, she really did. It wasn't her fault that nobody else liked cats or chattering nonsense. Her more peculiar traits gradually pushed others away, and she never formed any lasting relationships - but that was okay. She got used to being alone, to blending in and to keeping quiet. Conversations were such a chore, anyway. Superpower: Runs on Nonsensoleum (Wild Magic) Sometimes there are powerful, reality-shattering beings who can control and moderate their powers. At other times there are beings like Kira, who can simply contort the world to their whims because they think that's how things should work. She's no cosmic horror; she just believes that, as in writing, the universe conforms to a few Rules. Strange things happen according to the Rule of Funny or the Rule of Cool, and she has the ability to invoke those rules in the interest of creating a better reality. Of course, controlling the universe is no easy task. The rules are more a set of untamed beasts than anything fit to be wielded by human hands, but Kira lacks the common sense to be cautious. Invoking the Rules is easy, or even an unconscious affair; it's directing them which is the hard part. She could just as easily turn some boring teacher into a wicked-sweet pirate as she could accidentally tangle her own shoelaces together. Since her (primitive, but stable) psychic powers are drawn from the Rules, though, there's clearly some room left for her to grow. Curse: Tragic Magical Accident Sometimes bending the Rules of the universe doesn't go according to plan. For Kira, that time came early in her life when she tried to heal a wounded kitten she found by the street. It was the first, most desperate and most careless time that she invoked the Rules, and she paid for it. Sure, the kitten turned out just fine. It lived, at least. The unfortunate part came in that the kitten lived on in her, forever imbuing her with the soul of a fuzzy furball. It turned out to not be so bad after she got used to it.

Name: Minako Morgan
Method of Concealment: Magical Transformaton! Takes a good whole ten seconds and everything. Super flashy, too! So flashy, everyone just has to stop and stare. Allies and enemies alike. Kind of attracts attention too. And god help you if you get fanboys.
Class: Magical 'Girl' [Bladebound Magus] (Take this! Blades of Love and Hope!)
Superpower: Spiffy Sword! (It talks! And does other stuff!)
Curse: Overbearing Mentor (Just can't seem to get away from her!)

 

To be a magical girl is to be graceful.

To be a magical girl is to be elegant.

To be a magical girl is to be stylish.

Minako is all of these things. In fact, Minako was even chosen specifically by one of the Magical Girl relics - Excalibur, said to be the weapon of yore of King Alexander. Dumped straight into Minako's lap one day, it was. Only unfortunate part? Minako is a guy.

Of course, the best, the brightest, the top dog of Magical Girls, Cynthia Morgan, had followed the awakening of Excalibur quite closely, and was more then surprised to discover that it had chosen, of all the things, a male. Of only ten years, at that! Thankfully, he was also an orphan, so it was a simple matter of taking him into her custody.

What followed were five grueling years of training. Learning to act as a Magical Girl (in every sense of the word). Learning how to pass as a girl. Padding. So much humiliation. Though Minako's actually pretty used to it. Kind of likes it, even. Sure, there's the whole 'forced to masquerade as a girl' thing, but dressing up is pretty, and the spells are cool!

Though, even now, as a high-school attending fifteen year old, Minako is still forced to train. Daily. And the pressure! The only good thing is that she actually lets him get out from time to time and strut his stuff. Incidents are on the rise, and all that, and she's still gotta do her own job! Minako'll do his best to make her proud, though.

Kind of stressful when you're disappointing both your mentor and parental figure when you fail, though.

And gods save everyone if she gets overprotective and steps in.

Yes, you! The kid with the tie. Um, you're aware that there's a blob chewing on it, ri-Oh, you are, okay. How do I feel about being a magical girl? Um, well...I suppose it's fun enough. I mean, at first, I was kind of upset, because it seemed really girly, but, well, I've gotten used to it! It's cool to be able to dress up, and...Yes, I enjoy dressing up, okay?! I mean, I've had to spend the last five years of my life getting used to it. But, it's not all that bad, you know? A lot of 'girly' things are pretty. Even if most of the other kids think it's strange...

Ah yes, you, the girl with the flaming hair. Oh, my sword? It's called Excalibur. Um, I don't think it's King Arthur's, just named after it, but-"

"Hey, I can speak for myself, you know! Yes, yes, indeed. I am Excalibur. The blade of legend! The sword that all magical girls aspire to wield, the ultimate font of power! Of course, Minako here can't really handle all the power that I have, so I have to restrain myself. Such a shame, such a shame! But I assure you all, in spite of appearances, I am quite the legendary blade. Oho, let me tell you about that time that no don't you put me away into that bag Minako I AM NOT DONE TALK-mmpghph."

Well, actually, she's kind of my mom too. Adopted me, and...well, I suppose it's kind of stressful. I mean, I know she cares, but she's always got such strict standards. And, of course, she's always so nosy...please don't tell her I said that. Um, otherwise, I guess it's not so bad...she's taught me a lot, she's provided a good (enough) home.

Name: Jack Everyman
Race: Human
Class: Soulknife 3 (Armored Blade)

Method of Concealment: Everyman Jack
No one ever really seems to keep Jack in their mind for very long, he just simply slips from their mind as though he were never there. While this gives him pretty free roam, it also makes it about impossible for him to keep down any sort of job or even a seat in class as folks are hired for his job or try to sit on him while he is taking notes. He tends to try to be really obnoxiously extroverted around people he wants to be friends with just so he can stay in their mind that much longer. It makes sleep overs rather embarrassing when they don’t remember him the next morning.

Superpower: Everyone Jack
Because Jack is such an everyman, even the universe seems to get him mixed up with other folks sometimes. Jack can access a sort of akashic record that he calls the Jack Theory. In essence, somewhere out there, someone named Jack is good at something and Jack can access for short bursts those skills. These are not always the skills he is hoping for, as he has little control over these, but it is nonetheless something he is not complaining about. Simple version- every time Jack wakes up he has a set bonus to a random skill.

Curse: Everywho Jack?
Jack lives in crowded seclusion. No one ever remembers him for long and yet he lives with a connection to just about every other Jack, John, and variant thereof. His mind is a crowded place and he has no one vent with. Because he wishes to be seen and heard so terribly, he has reduced ability to resist charms and compulsions. Furthermore because he is used to be unnoticed, he has a reduced initiative to react when things actually take note of him.

Ever since everyone forgot him in middle school, Jack has squatted in the attic of one of the other chosen students, slipping through the ventilation shafts of their homes to eat from their fridge at night and use their cable. He is a "senior" in high school, but the records don't show him and he's pretty certain he has never received a graded paper back. Nonetheless he comes back everyday in the hopes that someday he'll do something to make others notice him-- for better or for worse. Ever met that fellow who you thought was just weird as heck and couldn't for the life of you remember who he was or what exactly about him made him so strange? You've probably met Jack.


Classes: Jack can show up in about any class and get about the same fulfillment out of it...that is none at all. He tends to gravitate towards the class that most compliments his "Superpower" for the day. That said, when he gets tired enough of being ignored he might end up slumming around the roof, screwing around in the gym, or stealing food from the cafeteria.

And hey we don't discriminate so what the hey, in this case the baddest fists of fury belong to a girl (Literally how I decide the gender of every character I play). Besides not beating the heck out of anyone who tries anything, her method of concealment is "Never mind them" (As noted, this applies to gravity sometimes)

Super Power: The secret to being the most BA Parkour master there is? Make gravity look the other way.
Even gravity doesn't pay her much attention, allowing her to perform insane acrobatic stunts that would make a master parkourist look like a noob. (Renamed Ninja Antics, basically)

Curse: Sometimes gravity looks the other way when she REALLY wants it to pay attention.
Yes, her super power can also be her curse: she tends to just...float off at inopportune times (There WAS that one embarrassing locker room incident where she floated out before getting dressed. Luckily she moved shortly after so people don't remember.)

In a nutshell: Gravity sometimes looks the other way is both the super power AND the curse.

Classes: Besides the usual, Chris fills her schedule with physical classes as much as she can. Which isn't much.
