My sheet is ~86% done, just waiting to have a sneak peek at others before I make some final decisions like languages, feel free to let me know if I made any mistakes as far as rules go.
@Hound Would color gift wrap would you like? Testing: Last edited by okashii; May 24th, 2014 at 02:13 AM. |

Probably going to be another day before I finish my character sheet. I am looking to make him more melee oriented than originally planned. Right now he is a bit of a glass cannon, so I need to work out a few things to fix that.

I think we are all a little fragile - but that is part of the fun of being level 1.
Always one blow off dying. |

Haha, you guys and galls are great. I'll take another day at least too, for the sheet. Have to be considerate of the other rogue

Heck, I've got a sheet up, but still toying up making some changes. In particular changing out river rat for maybe magical knack or something. Not that I necessarily expect him to take sorcerer levels, but he might one day, and it agrees with his other trait a bit better. Or something else entirely.
If you jump into the main thread we can get posting ic anyway. |

Hey RMP, I have another questionr egarding sheets:
Will we be using the "young characters" adjustment or consider them to having just reached adulthood and therefore having no adjustments?

Nah, age-wise they're considered adults it's just culture-wise that they're "kids". Unless you wanted to, in which case knock yourself out.

@Hound Would it be possible for you to train Gohei to carry the ceremonial lantern? Considering the amount of his hit points, he's the one most likely to return alive

So I am in a bit of a quandary and would like some opinions. I am going to use a two-handed weapon primarily and am leaning towards a BFS although the idea of a scythe is kind of interesting in a flavor type of way. However, I kind of like the Nodachi (Big long katana type of sword), but I wonder if it would be more practical to just go with a Greatsword. I like the aesthetic value and uniqueness of the Nodachi and that is really the only reason I am thinking about it over the Greatsword. I have to use a Feat for any two handed weapon I choose, so I would like to know if you all think it would be worth it to go with the Nodachi or not considering I probably won't find many at the corner market and upgrading this type of weapon might be difficult.

I don't have much experience with melee weapons, but on paper Greatsword looks like a better choice:
- Slightly cheaper - Available - Higher minimal and maximum damage True, the Nodachi has a better crit range, but criticals only matter when they happen which is rarely and if you are lucky to confirm them. Edit: I take it back, the Nodachi gives a bonus to knocking Jasper off his pony ![]() Last edited by okashii; May 25th, 2014 at 02:15 AM. |

While knocking Jasper off his high horse is an intriguing prospect and perhaps even something that might be necessary at some point, I think I will just go with the Greatsword due to all of the points you made and even a few others I've considered. I can always switch to a nodachi somewhere down the road.
Anyway, I'll get a post up tomorrow sometime that has a vague reference to a large sword on Lucien's back in case I change my mind at the last minute. No matter what I'm looking forward to writing with you all. Especially since I'm playing a character that is very unlike the type of character I normally do. Far less charismatic and talkative. So this will be quite the fun challenge for me. |

Talk charismatic. I don't know how I'm gonna play Annea. She's more likely to run away, while her "sister" will probably liberate you of most of your belongings

I feel you Kenard. Malva is like 100% opposite of the characters I usually play, writing her dialogue is surprisingly difficult.
