Day 5
Another given day due to another issue. As you are all eating your evening meal Mr. Pugg walks up to the monk saying, "So I hear you can hold yourself in a fistfight." He pulls out a coin purse, and tosses it on a barrel. "There is 100gp that says you can't take on Owlbear." At that time you notice a couple of Pugg's cronies leading a large muscular man onto deck. It looks like if he has been tared and feathered. Most of the crew begins to joke and throw scraps at him laughing at his reactions. At first what looks to be showboating is apparent to be the acts of a simple mind. He grunts at the laughing crew and will pick up a scrap and eat it. And then reaches into a pouch to his side and pulls out a hand full of small crabs tosses them in his mouth and starts to crunch them letting the jeering crowd see it. "So come on you lubber. And remember this is just a bit of entertainment. It will go on till one of you is either knocked out or gives up. And no help from the rest of you dogs. This is just a man on man fight." Init check is you wish. But this is a one on one fight. And roll both attack and damage at the same time. Makes things quicker. |

So will the rest of us get actions aside from the combat?

Yea, this is just more of Pugg being an ass and singling out one of the characters to do so.

I'm going to try and get more information on the rest of the officers (who they are, who they interact with and how they spend their off time on the ship)

Sorry, slightly confused here. Do we pick a champion to fight him while the others watch/do whatever, or are we all fighting him at the same time, or are we each fighting him singly?

I would be trying to find people making bets and seeing what the odds were. I need to talk with my monk buddy here to see if he feels like hes gonna win. If he feels good then Id be betting some moneys on him, if he doesnt feel victory then id be seeing if i may steal some cash from the betting npcs...
sleight of hand roll of 19 on a d20, so 19+9 = 28 |
