[OOC] Out of Character discussions

everybody seems to have missed the post when Araella left so I'll draw attention to it by highlighting it here

Tunaster nodded to Ansom as he said they could continue with there conversation Not they way I'd planned it, but I guess it will suffice, but first I must attend to Aeralla

Tunaster smiles at Lyell as he kneels down and murmers a prayer to Mystra, his hands glow a bluish white and the light spreads across the drow. She shakes her head, and itches the closing wound on her head. Audible cracking and popping sound througout the tavern as her skull is reformed and skin mends together.

I thought I was dead for sure. My thanks good priest; Not even noticing his symbol of Mystra nor his robes.

I also thought Orazlen and Revvik were truly devoted to Mystra, as I am. I should alert the temple at once! She then rushes out of the tavern heading toward her temple.

Watching to odd reaction of the drow, Tunaster just shakes his head, and returns to his seat at the table. Awaiting anyone else who might be interested in what he has to say about this quest, Inquiries?

I didn't miss it. I never even spoke directly to her. Just about her after she left.

I specifically mentioned someone needing to be fast enough to catch her before she got back to the temple.

yes, you did. But Tonks waited for people to follow him. If he'd have left then he may have caught her, but, she isn't inside yet. She left in a hurry, right after being healed. You guys talked with Tunaster a bit more, and amongst yourselves as well, she'd had made it there by now.

ooc I can give you more time to post, but at the same time. Im not going to hold up the rest of the party for one person. That isn't fair. If Elden if off talking to Joseph, while Lyell is talking to Tunaster. And lyell posts twice in a day, Tunaster will reply, if Elden posts once, Joseph will reply. Make sense? Like in this situation. We have at least 3 different conversations going on. Possibly more when you two catch your characters up. I won't hold up one if the participants are posting and characters in other convos are not posting. I can't post at work ethier, although Im off today, tmw and friday. I'll be on alot, and posting pretty regularly. Probably twice a day until saturday. BTW, nice roll Lyell.

Hold up the game? I didn't even get a chance to react. I am not trying to bitch, but dude, conversations? These are plot events. Plot events central to my cleric of Mystra. I would think the DM would like to include a character that would want to interact with his world. That is what we talked about when starting the game afterall, now I get skipped.

He would have interacted along the way. Given I was sick before and I can't fault you too much for it, I can't expect you to play my guy and I overreacted before. And for that I am sorry. But i can't help but feel left out, when the game moves on that quickly without me. I don't consider it conversations when plot lines are moving forward, especially when locations have changed and that much happened in just one day.

Your job is to keep the game flowing smoothly for everyone, sometimes that means you have to let it slow down so some people can react. Remember my game, when something fairly big would happen, I didn't not post in two days because I was busy I was giving people time to act.

If posting once in 16-18 hours isn't quick enough for you then tell me. I am here to enjoy myself.

Maybe I am overreacting again, maybe I shouldn't care so much, this is a favorite character of mine, this is a side effect I guess.

As I said, I will give you more time to post. But I don't see these as plot points just yet. And we just got to this 'scene', so your not really behind at all. Just catching up and joining in is all that is needed here.

I could understand better if you had posted an IC comment yesterday about joining tonks to the temple, and then I moved the party to this point, and then into the temple, all before 10pm tonight. Ya, that would be a bit much!

I can also understand your frustration, as I was frustrated in Ravaged lands with the whole wolf scene. I felt Rekien was 'meant' for that scene, whether you planned it that way or not. It turned out not so, and I was dissapointed, but blew it off.

Alas, Yes, I will try and wait until later in the evenings to move the story along. Although I think NPC reactions and reply's deserve to be posted in a bit more of a timly fashion, which is all I meant for this second post to be, and to introduce the group to the Temple Courtyard.

Plot Post moved the story along to Mystra Temple--You posted an OOC post before this post, having to oportunity to 'follow Tonks' but didn't say anything IC. I did wait 24hrs, from my previous post, before I posted this, because it was an important post.

Responses Guards reaction; Arealla Reaction; Lyssia and Vadania's actions--You've posted 2 OOC posts, having the oportunity to do whatever at the temple. But havn't said anything IC

There are about 100 things I responded with to this, none of it worth it though.

Why not IC because I am not in the mindset. Being that we talked about the temple, you don't think elden would have had something to say about it. And Rekien is the third best wilderness person we have, it was more to see where everyone's mindset was with their character.

But that is an excellent point. That sequence of events is what happens when you don't give people enough time to react. You guys got split up and didn't even know it. That is my point about taking plot lines way too fast. That is why i have been posting slower and giving everyone at least a day to react. My OOC post didn't count? I was confused about the world around me, didn't have a chance to post an RP after that, figured I could do so the next day, had no idea the world would leave me behind.

Its not that your OOC posts didn't count, yes after you said that, i assumed Elden and Druessa were at the court yard gates, with Lyell and Tonks. Hearing Tonks and the Guards conversation, and probably Lyell and Arealla's as well.

This would be a great time for Elden to speak up. And yes, I'll probably post reactions to everyones post by 9-10pm tmw night... Unless its something minor, then it may be posted earlier.

I mean I have days where I can't get online until 8-9pm at night as well, in which case I have alot to post about, and it ends up taking me an hour or more to compile a 'story post', after reading everyones actions. Sometimes I find it easier to reply to each character individualy as they come, if its not that huge of a deal, or in the middle of a conversation between an NPC and a PC.

But ya, I will slow up a bit and give you more time. But, if you get the chance, I'd ask that tonight, you throw some RP into the game. As you said, Elden surly would have a few things to say about whats been said already.

As for my post frequency, my posts are almost always short and generally because they're directed at single people and/or targets. I'm not trying to lock anyone out, upstage anyone or rush things. I'm just responding to things at the rate that they happen.

@ Lyell, My point was simply that you said everyone seems to post once per day, and I was pointing out that you did it three times.

You didn't take it up with me in PM, you posted it, so I didn't even think to take it up with you privately.
