Exclamation Armala - The world you live in

Genesis

“In the beginning, there was nothing but the great Arashalamanaratamu, the great god, the highest being, though the mortals know him as Arasha, not daring to call the great lord’s full name. Omnipotent, with a trillion faces and forms, was, is, will be for all eternity. He was the one who created the four gods, ordering them to create world he had seen in one of his countless dreams, not able to do this himself due to his power beyond comparison. Too strong he was, so that he couldn’t restrict it enough to make such a ‘simple’ thing as Armala.

Ceromar, the god of death; Meira, goddess of life and nature; Loramor, god of the elements; Earanoll, god of the beasts – those were the god’s the created or world. It took many years, more than the greatest scholar could count, till the world prospered, but it did, and well at that. The people of Armala worshiped the gods and Arasha, the greatest of all beings, the beginning and end of all and everything.
But as years passed by, ten-, hundredfold, the gods began to get bored of protecting and guiding those people their creator seemed to love more than them. Filled with hate and jealousy they turned on their master, cutting his connection to Armala. As a last act, before he lost his grip on the world he loved so, the weakened great lord used the last bit of power he had to raise the isle of Keralor out of the sea, far off from the continent of Poramor, the only one is existence on Armala.

Thanks to his power being not even a fraction of what it used to be, Arashalamanaratamu was able to create this island, protect it with his godly power, so that its inhabitants would watch over this world in his stead, before he was banned into nothingness.

The other gods, eager to lift their boredom, decided to leave the world to its own, just observing it, like a game, like a play. Those traitors, they shall never be forgiven, even though they are the children of Arasha, just like we are!”

– Caymi, high priestess of Arasha and the only mortal worthy of calling the great god by his name

Introduction

After the four gods left the world to its own, Armala soon was overcome with chaos, war and despair. Many years the world was about to become ashes but one day, the fighting stopped. Five kingdoms rose, led by five powerful spellcasters. Using magic of incomparable strength they ‘tamed’ the wild tribes, the monsters and beasts, made them their servants. Reining with strength and fear, those five nations somehow kept their balance, never the less keeping their military strength as it was, even raising it. It was a way to ensure the respective countries safety and their inhabitants’ wellbeing, at least that’s what the five rulers used to say.

Many years of peace came to be, many generations of rulers led their countries in more and more prosperous times. People capable of using magic soon came to be the nobles of Armala, though the common people didn’t dare – or rather didn’t want – to object to that fact. They just went with the flow, and even though they lived in countries ruled by dictators they enjoyed their life, living with joy and without sorrow.

But without them knowing and without the god’s caring, the world started to crumble. The aspect of ‘good’, of love, joy and carelessness became too strong, destroying the balance that kept the world running. The only ones aware of that where the inhabitants of Keralor, the last disciples of Arasha. For five generations every heir of Keralor’s kingdom was trained to be the guide for those that will fulfill Arasha’s will, those that had to come.

It was a splendid kingdom, as splendid island. On first glace without any structure, but the clans and tribes, the villages and big cities formed a strong web, strong kingdom, reigned by the house of Kerlaor and the high priestess of the great lord. Though not every inhabitant of Keralor was a believer of Ashara, they all lived like the great lord has wished them to, even if they didn’t know. It’s land had many faces, deserts and plains, rocky mountains and wide forests. Each and every being was accepted on this last refuge of the great lord, just as he had wished for.

Now finally, just as Korash of Keralor, Disciple of the great Dragon, had finished his training, those two appeared. The time to lift the barrier, erected by Arasha himself, had come, the time to set out into the world, wreaking havoc – to save it from falling apart.
