Today marks the halfway point on European holidays with my wife. Visited Gibraltar which was country 14/27 for us travelling together over the last twelve years. I’m personally at 18/27.

Our three year old has been travelling with us this trip, and he currently has three stamps in his passport now. He also hasn’t been left on the street which is more of an accomplishment for us. He’s been running a master class in parental patience this past week. I’m not doing as well as I’d like in that class some days.

Parenting is an endurance contest. First, full dependency. Then, unconditional love with tantrums. Finally, you're stupid, exhausted and broke. Once they're independent and the kids have moved out, you get to torture them as in-laws and grandparents. It's a time for poetic payback. Hang in there Ray.

Just wrote the last check for our house mortgage.

I am now debt free.

Wow, I still have a 16yo to put through college another getting ready for medical school. I did the math and if I work until I'm only 103 I'll be able to retire!
