jj_wolven is our longest tenured mod. I'm fairly certain he was wearing the red staff lettering before Raj and Varun even thought of starting this site.

Let's put this train back on the track..

I want to take a moment to thank the outgoing staff for all their work. They did far, far more than people know to make this site what it is today, and keep it humming. It truly is an iceberg, where you see a piece floating serenely on top, but there's a huge chunk of work underneath, supporting that.

Like Birched said, I will miss you all in the discussion forums... what a place to learn more about the Person, and not the gamer, even if it was discussions over problems and issues, and who to blame for bringing Squeak into the ranks. Covid and wildfires, classroom woes and job hunts... we shared it all (whether we intended to or not). I can only hope that the sharing helped with the issues, and didn't add to them.

There's a ton of wisdom in this group, leaving our ranks now. Tribal knowledge as well... I think there are things Unko and Hugga know, that no one else does about the workings of this place. And kindness, and bad, bad puns (looking at you. Itsa... and a little at you, Inem).

Squeak, I am going to miss you most. I'll tell mom your last words were that you loved her, before you died. That will bring her some comfort in your passing that you never could in your life. RIP, little brother.

On a more serious note: Thank you all for the tiring/tireless work you retirees have done.
Little thanks are normally given, though much is deserved. Thank you for maintaining this gem of a website!

Had I more time and less retiring brain cells of my own, I would love to help out with the slack. But as it is, more energetic folks will have to dive in. I echo your call out to those with more knowledge and devotion than is reasonable to shore up the support given by those worthies who are stepping down.

To each: Well done!

I don't believe I've had the pleasure of getting to know any of the retirees but without you guys this site wouldn't be the fantastic community that it is, so I thank you for your service.

May RPGX continue for many more years under the new stewardship!

It's been great y'all! I haven't been active on site in a long time, but I do miss it often. I just don't have the energy these days to be creative enough to write on here, though I guess I could have kept up my administrative duties even if I wasn't playing in a game.

Gosh I miss that game sometimes. I had so much fun running Big'un and playing with everyone. You and mountainbound swapping back and forth as DM isn't something that usually works well either on here or at an actual table, but y'all made it work great! Probably my favorite game I played on here.

It was great playing with you too!

mountainbound! Glad to see you still around here, even if I am almost entirely not. Written any good books lately?

Seriously, this site helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life, and being able to write out some of those feelings at the time was hugely cathartic. I've been on here since January 19, 2005, so just over 18 years now I cannot express enough how much the games I've played and friendships I've developed here have meant to me. I'm still friends off site with several of the other players and staff I've played with, and even the ones I don't actually chat with often like Birched and mountainbound I still consider friends.

Much love to everyone!

Thank you to all the moderators, RPGX is a fantastic site.
This is the third site we've used to host our game, and definitely the best............ because of you.
