"Get it together already you damn fool. What are you? Some fluff-brained little girl who barely knows one end of the sword from the other? Focus! The battle is still on and people can and will die if you slip up because you're in a daze over how stupid you've been. Get a grip!" She berated herself fiercely in her head grinding her teeth hard before finally taking a deep breath and letting it out. Her condition today was just too pitiful. She needed to get back on track before she shamed her Brothers and Sisters any further than she had already. Thinking this she she gave a determined nod and immediately stepped off the end of the roof and flew lightly down to the street below, still under the effect of the spell of Flight that had been cast on her before she was sent there. She didn't question the decision to make their way there through the streets on the ground, as she well knew that flying would just announce their arrival and make them a target along the way. Which was pretty much what their dragon ally was doing. Well, she had seemed confident in being able to escape and would make a marvellous distraction for them. Who was she to question it? For now she moved ahead at an excellent pace searching for a way through the alleys and streets towards the inn they saw from up on the roof, with as much cover along the way as possible. |

Once the decision appears to be made, Nallaul climbs downz. He prefers normally to not use magic unless he needs to. He feeals happier that they're all going for one target. Happier, but not happy.. He wonders how the new arrival is going to work out. Can't be as big a liability as Humility though.

Rhys leaves the scouting to Leon and Humility, who make quick and efficient progress through the streets, pausing every now and then to allow the others to catch up when they were sure the coast was clear of any threats. Once they reach the inn, which doesn't take them very long, the two of them are even able to circle around it while Rhys (and Mrith if she returns) keeps an eye on things for the bulk of the group. The only figures they spot from windows are two Erinyes, keeping an eye out on opposite ends from the top floor of the two-storey inn. They could either wait a bit longer and hope to spot the healers coming to the windows to heal one of the Dragons, start making their way into the building with the others or even simply just have everyone start attacking. ~MTWC

Hmph. Perhaps they are notifying them whenever another dose of healing spell is needed? I should probably help Mirik and put a stop to that right away.
She couldn't spare another glance at the fighting dragons for now. The sight of the accursed ones revolted her and now her preys were on sight. This dragon wouldn't keep them waiting. She would do best to inform the others of how things were going as they did. I've seen two Erinyes keeping discretely keeping watch in the warehouse. I'll begin harassing them right away by blocking their vision to the fight so they cannot heal the dragons anymore without getting out. I'll proceed to get to the warehouse and burn it down if they ignore me. She maintained her speed and raced for the warehouse, creating an area of fog into the warehouse, where the two Erinyes peek out, then got as close to it as possible, keeping the same altitude but going over the warehouse, then descending to an altitude of about 25-ft. above the warehouse. As she glided down, she unrolled her scroll of Banishment and began to scratch herself with her dagger, apprehending their reaction. I've decided to banish as many as possible as soon as the opportunity is favorable, to save on time and join up with you all faster, if I can. Last edited by Blue; Sep 23rd, 2014 at 02:26 PM. |

With fairly minimal information there isn't much use in elaborate planning.
"Humility, Leon. You two try to sneak in to find the hostages and figure out where the healers are. Once the ball goes up you two keep between them and the hostages. Otherwise we keep it simple. Try to focus on individual targets so that they're dead before the healers can get to them and kill them before they kill us."

Nallaul doesn't have anything to add at this point. He wants this to be over. The mage realises he doesn't have many damage spells left. Looks like he have to conserve those and try and disable foes via other spells.

The thief waited for Mrith to engage the erinyes before sneaking towards the inn. Those demon-bitches are a sneaks' bane. He made a quick tour of the building checking for the best way to enter the inn without getting caught. But off course, the best entrances would be trapped - it's what he would do. But Léon would also make sure he'd have a way out. Now where did they put it?

Hearing Morgan's instructions, Humility gave a casual nod of acquiesce and sent her reply through the mind link.
[["Understood."]] Which was pretty much the norm for Children who were following someone else's lead. Even if they were organised, there were no disciplined soldier-like responses and attitudes. No 'Yes sir!'s or snapping to attention. Whether it was the leader of the combat group they were currently in or all the way up to the Sword in the Dark himself, there was practically no formality at all in their freedom oriented society. Still she's being curt and to the point, more subdued and less talkative then she was earlier. She follows after Léon and communicated her thoughts to him through the link, knowing much better than to speak out loud this close to the enemy. [["I'll follow your lead here. My skills focus on catching enemies by surprise rather than breaking and entering."]] She says only what needs to be said and no more, pursuing him like his shadow. Holding her weapons at the ready she resolutely turned all her focus on the task at hand, putting all her will into banishing all thought of the recent events and events yet to come from her mind so she can get things done. Even though she succeeds it takes far more effort than she would have liked. |

Mrith's fog engulfs the Erinyes near the you can't see it now, but it's the two blocks of light greypully, as well as spreading across the top floor of the warehouse beneath the roof, before coming to a hover above the roof with her banishment scroll. Mrith hears people speaking below her, but finds it difficult to make it out. [DC 20 Listen check to decipher what the other three are saying (mark which check is for who/what order).] The remaining Erinyes flies up before letting loose with an arrow, although it misses Mrith due to her magic. ~MTWC

She didn't understand the infernal speech but the voice of Nevh's choker did and swiftly conveyed her the words meaning.
It didn't scare her. In fact, it felt like a good moment to slip some terror in there. The voice itself was quite fluent in the accursed language and very eager to say the words. But she wouldn't have it. Better to have them keep communicating with eachother in Infernal, if they thought she wouldn't understand. Draconic would suffice, and be expected. "ONLY SIX OF YOU? AH! HA HA HA!!" She felt that dramatic enough without being too much. Just then, the young dragon wasn't sure anymore if it was acting or not. It sounded creepy enough and made a good show of her confidence. Hopefully they would underestimate her by her size, as they all do, and they be confused and perhaps even afraid once they get a feel of her first discharge. She flew off and took care to go lower by passing under the fog she had created as to avoid being seen, then align with the warehouse and breath out a line of electricity that tore through the fog all the way to the opposite end of the top floor. She flew alongside the building as she kept on breathing, electrifying the entirety of the top floor. Taking note of the position of those she saw there, she would either fly back up to where she started or give them more trouble to deal with. |

The spell had slowed her down, but Mrith was fast enough to complete her intended skirmish despite the restrains.
She breathed electricity through the lot of them and returned on the roof to ponder her next move. Or perhaps try to shatter the bindings. Once perched on the roof, she figured now was a good time to gloat. Keep them more distracted by what was going on here than whatever was to happen at the alehouse. Maybe taunt them to use their stronger stuff and so have less to spend on healing the dragons. "HA HA! YOU CAN'T STOP ME WITH YOUR PATHETIC MAGIC. Your worthless devils cannot protect you. I am SO GLAD I found you. You're all MINE!" It was as aggressive as she could make it sound. And joyful, too. She was excited now. It was fun. Last edited by Blue; Oct 1st, 2014 at 04:10 PM. |

That was unexpected. And very unfortunate. She hadn't expected that something would get up on that roof and close on her this fast and still be able to get an attack in melee.
The wound wasn't so bad though. The devil's comment got a smirk from her. "Oh, truly?" Looking at it better now, she couldn't hide her disgust. "My, you are one ugly thing. I'll save you for last, Dogai." When the Erinyes left to get on ground, she looked down at them plaintively. "No... come back... I'm not done with you." The handsome guy made her outright laugh. Then she calmed herself to actually consider what he had just said to get a better impression. "I don't let go of a prey so easily. For supporting those abominations in the sky, you are worthy of my attention. I'll turn a blind eye and get my fill of carnage elsewhere if you pay me. I want something nice for my hoard." After the cyclonic blast and the attack that followed, Mrith gazed at her wounds, unimpressed, but even more excited. "Oh. YES. That's it. Make me work for it." Having been propelled away by that spell was convenient. She made a new sphere of cold solid fog over the mage and Dogai both, then flew over it and activated the dark magic of her Shadowy Diadem. Maybe get the others up to speed of what was going on around here. Okay. There is a Dogai among them. Some kind of killer devil that jumps in the shadows and gets invisible. He's actually good. They have what I think is some kind of fallen Darkheart mage with them. They are tough. I can try to focus on keeping them busy and save some time but they got decent fire power and I'm not sure how many good spells they still have now after the dragon heals and whatever they used against me so far. I'll retreat if they seem to control the situation too well. Last edited by Blue; Oct 6th, 2014 at 03:01 AM. |
