Those of us playing Rumoured Mine have, unfortunately, lost our DM as deplinator has been overcome by real-life concerns, as happens to us all from time to time. Are there any other DMs willing to step in? The quest is only just started and the premise is pretty simple, so you can easily put your own stamp on it (or grab a pregen and reskin it).
Alternatively, if you don't want to run this adventure we would also be happy to move over to another adventure as a group. If anyone is willing to have a look, please let us know as the players are keen to continue.

Is multi-classing allowed here at level-up? I mean, as long as it's not an obvious attempt at a game-breaking character build.

Yes, you are allowed to multi-class after Level 1. We have a number of characters with multiple classes here.

Even if it is! - that is, don't feel restrained other than by the WM house rules.

Questions, of course to this West Marches game:
![]() ![]() 1. I once read players can roll and play a second character after one, two, or three levels/adventures? I looked everywhere but I can't find that rule anymore. What does it say exactly now? ![]() 2. Is a Firbolg as detailed here an allowed race in this game? (I think it is from Volo's monster second edition or so.) ![]() 3. Does anybody in the West Marches care if a Firbolg looks not like this red-nosed sheep(?) people as suggested by google images but more like a ogre, troll, huge human, huge orc, folklore troll, or hag? ![]() 4. What if my "Firbolg" not only looks like a huge orc but actual is an orc? A special shaman-like orc. Or anything else, orc is just an example. Just asking... I don't really think it would be good to allow things like this. ![]() ![]() Edit: Just found this history of appearances: https://funnyjunk.com/Best+kind+of+firbolg/rsueMef/ Also here: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Firbolg Last edited by Goblin Man; Dec 29th, 2019 at 10:34 AM. |

I would oppose taking one race and giving it the mechanics of another, but I can bring it to the DMs if it's important to you for some reason. Last edited by secretID; Dec 29th, 2019 at 10:53 AM. |

Thank you SecretID
A follow up question: Is the level of the character I play tied to the character itself or to the set of rolled stats I use or to the total number of adventures I have completed as a player? Same question in other words, in the spoiler: +++ Regarding the Firbolg: All fine, don't go to any trouble, thanks. Thanks in advance! Last edited by Goblin Man; Dec 30th, 2019 at 10:25 PM. |

I think you're under a misimpression.
You roll stats, and stop once you get a set with at least two 15+. You make a character, Jane, with those stats and it gets approved. You're now done with those stats. Moreover, until you complete an adventure with Jane you can't do anything with any other character. (You can roll one - ONE - if you feel like it.) You complete an adventure with Jane, who then becomes 2L. You want to try another character. You therefore then roll stats again, which stats you may then use for exactly one new character, John. Etc. Last edited by secretID; Dec 31st, 2019 at 07:45 AM. |

You are right! But I'm 99.99% clear now.

Oops - fixed.
Correct. The two (or more) characters are unrelated. I guess one exception to that statement is that they're not allowed to trade with each other. |

Hi
my first level character is out with the adventure "Keep 'EM on Their Heals". I assume that we also have to do this Character Conversion once we are back and level up, right? Does this also mean that I can take the chance and switch cantrips, considering the optional redesign mentioned in point 12? Thanks in advance! |

Without looking too closely at your situation, IIRC you do not. If your first West Marches adventure started this calendar year you never received "residuum," so you're set.
Re redesign: 1) West Marches is using everything from this UA other than the stuff about Warlocks and Sorcerers switching spells every long rest. I don't remember offhand, but that may fix your issue. 2) I think your PC is first level. The DMs are generally fine with that kind of tweak at first level regardless. Check it with your current DM and that should be fine. |
