But: having "Aethera" on top isn't quite the same.

Momo and Knight on his last day.

 

Literally just buried our foster cat Momo... we got him in August, knowing he was not likely to live very long. The rescue that had him wanted to give him a better home for the end of his life, thinking he had a month or two left. We said we would do it. He lasted 8+ months (and trained over 8 foster dogs to obey him in that time), but this past week was his end. He stopped eating, starting having respiratory issues, and we tried what we could, but the vets said the end was near. He hated vets and cars, so instead of taking him 40 minutes of driving in terror, to a vet, we simply kept him at home and made him comfortable. He got to go outside on our porch, sleep in the sun, watch the birds, and stay next to his doggie buddies. Momo thought he was a dog, I think... he was fearless with them. He sat on them, curled up to sleep with them, slept in their crates when they weren't there, and in the empty crates between fosters. He spent yesterday on the porch, asleep next to Knight, and last night at 11:30, he passed.



We buried him in our yard just now. RIP little man. You were a great cat, and a pretty decent dog.

At the risk of getting whacked: Me, too.

Still: likes that - it goes to show that what we do on here can mean something to others and be useful, even a decade and a half later.

I was: released by my physical therapist & doctor
After: Back surgery and rehab
On: April 10th

And: Less than a week later
I have: Screwed up my back again
Appointment: On Thursday
But: I am pretty confident
It is: going to require another surgery

And: communicate a degree of #wfh camaraderie
...
But THEN: I get a reply
CC: two very important people in my company
With some very confusing: nonsense
...: in 4 separate emails!
All of which: have my helpful-yet-silly email copied as what they're replying to
...:...
AND: I realize there's a typo in the message I sent
Which has been copied to: two important people...: 4 times

Actual quote from the email I sent: "can help can help"

And maybe: just maybe
This wouldn't be: so embarrassing
If the email: wasn't
On the topic of: effective copywriting

UGH: WHY?!?!

Bonus Points: I always have to look up how "camaraderie" is spelled.
