Oh, I forgot about this thread!
A few things I've done over the past few months. My first attempts at carving stamps (harder than it looks!), a landscape in acrylic paint that my Mom taught me how to do (I really like how the trees turned out), and a mixed media piece on a photograph embellished with cut-paper figures and embroidery floss.

I can second that cutting stamps if very tricky, though I have to say I find the sensation of using the tool verry staisfying! were you using lino?
