A high-level adventure is looking unlikely, so people may want to create new PCs. FYI to Starflier, if you made a new PC but never used it, you're welcome to create something entirely different with those same rolls. The rule is that you must complete an adventure with a PC made from a set of rolls before you can take out a PC made from the next set of rolls.

Everyone, I apologize for my comments OOC and IC about killing Sol. I had intended the comments to be more about the character (Rolen) who is upset with seeing someone suddenly backstopped. However, I totally get that my comments were undermining the group decision.

Ring:

Rolen has a necklace of Fireballs that he would have to sell/pawn/trade to get the total gold to get the Ring of Protection.

I’d say whoever is interested should roll for the ring. If Rolen gets it, he’ll be happy to trade the Necklace of Fireballs (3 beads) for the Pawn Price.

The only thing I know for sure how the blood could be used is as an automatic finder/lock for a scrying spell, as could be a lock of hair. There could certainly be other uses though, and I'd like to find those out as well. I think Izim is a high-level priest. We may find something out at a temple.

I guess if our characters sit around for another year, a pawn is actually out of the question. Our dormant PCs aren't going to get any sudden windfalls before the pawn note expires. Also, 94 is a crazy roll to beat anyways.

I'm game. There's no reason to close this out, since these PCs will likely be parked for a while. Do you want to employ any particular skills or background features? Any general questions about Westhaven I can make up answers to?

Rolen going to rely on his Persuasion/Insight skills. I'm hoping that his performance at the On-Your-Shield has led him to have some acquaintances that can research for him.

Sounds like we're all going to The Shield for baths and a performance. Glanteth may look at visiting a temple afterwards to ask a high-level priest. Seems like he's not too welcome at the Inkpot and Quill anymore - his normal place to ask questions of scholars.

Rolen got a good Insight roll on an easy CR, so he can tell which of the current patrons of the Shield may have some arcane knowledge...and they happen to be PR's two wizards listed in Party Planning as available. If Rolen wants to approach one of them, we can take it from there, with PR talking to himself.

I'll remind everyone that you're free to start up your new PCs whenever you want - no need to wait for this to be completely closed out. (And you can list these PCs in Party Planning, too.)

Why don’t we move the conversation between Kosev and Rolen into my downtime post.

In terms of treasure, I still need to post Rolen’s pawn of the Fireball necklace to get the balance of the gold for the +1 Ring of Protection. However, we can proceed with the assumption that he has the gold.
