What's a good idea for a game?

Here is my favorite workflow for coming up with game ideas:

Take a very simple game concept, that isn’t special in any shape or form.
Prototype it really quickly and look what players are doing in your game.
Implement mechanics that encourage them to do exactly the opposite.
Let me give you an example:

2D Jump and run platformer.
You jump.
Every time you jump, you lose a life.
