That was so depressing. The only thing that would have made the night perfect is if we started scoring on ourselves. (Which we sort of did with that first deflected shot).

Yay! Mavs take the opener by double digits with Terry goes for big points. Glee!

Ok, so my predictions are still good. I had a feeling that the Mavs would take this one. Game 1 at home, hard to win for the HEAT.

But how about Jason Terry with that HORRIBLE finger roll!! I almost fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. He airballed a layup!! HOW DO YOU AIRBALL A LAYUP!!!

Watch out next game. Shaq will make at least 6 FT's next game and Dwade will make more as well, and the series is going to shift.

GO HEAT!!

but here in england everyone cared

and, after that win, we're currently at the top of Group B, which is a good thing, even if the goal was a little flukey.

I was expecting the paraguayans to steal two goals in the dieing seconds of the game but they didn't
(this is what usually happens with England matches. We score in the first few minutes and then its injury time and we throw everything away)

Come on England
(Eng-eh-land Eng-eh-land - yes, when you're playing football, it is three syllabels.)

You mean, when you're playing soccer.

OK, so maybe the Canes didn't pull out the sweep, but they'll still win it all. GO CANES!!

Ofcourse nobody inside the US cared. They SUCK. When they are winning, and come far, the next time it will be WC mania.

America, as far as I know, is the only country with no interest into the world-cup whatsoever... A pitty though... But they are getting better...

T&T vs Zweden.. What a match. We where cheering and yelling for T&T, how fun is that that such a small country -both in size and soccer status- matches up with Zweden.

T&T for World Champions

Damn right. T&T to go far!

And I was extra happy cos the result is good for England, who look like they need all the help they can get.

Nah. We don't care about the World Cup not because we suck but because . . . it's soccer. Trust me, if we were good . . . we still wouldn't care.

In years past we've had a pretty good curling team. We didn't care about that either. Why? Because it's curling.

Somehow, I think it's going to be different about this game...

Americans can't keep sticking there head in a hole and ignore the biggest (Single) sport in the world... :P
(Oh, and please don't be upset about the sticking heads in holes thing..)

They/you, got their own great games ofcourse... but still..

I think you confuse "sticking our heads in a hole" with "not liking soccer." They are not the same thing.

We are aware of soccer. We show it on TV. Most every school in America has a soccer team. We know how much the rest of the world likes it . . . and we still don't care for it.

That's just the way it is.

And why should you?

You don't get to wear big shoulder plates, and no one stuffs their pants.

What kind of sport is that?
