Guys, today my apartment was broken into, and my laptop and cell phone, among other things, stolen. I'll be off the site for the foreseeable future until my insurance gets things sorted out. I might be able to check in from time to time, but all games are now on Hold.

The Staff have my (new) phone number and can contact me in case of some kind of emergency (tough to envision, but there you go).

Sorry, that was wrong, but I couldn't resist. Anyways, I hope that you get things worked out, having been robbed/stolen from before I know how much it can suck. Best of luck in getting things back together, and I hope they can catch the bastard and give him/her what they deserve.

Thanks guys. Suspicion rests heavily on my next-door neighbor--yeah, the one who skipped town the next day.

Insurance co moving glacially; no new computer for me anytime soon it seems. I've commandeered my youngest daughter's creaky little iBook and manage to get on the interwebs once every couple of days or so. (Imagine me sitting next to a pile of matte black riding gear...with a Hello Kitty-stickered laptop!) OTOH I've found a good new apartment. So, onwards & upwards. Sort of.

On the whole I like Axeman's better... Though Don, you might like this: the Albuquerque PD and fingerprint tech who came out said they thought I was more of a victim than many of the folks involved in crimes here..."Shots Fired Into Occupied Clothing" is their term for it--!
