So how does one make a character for jj_wolven?

One starts by making the background, then one follows with ones rolls in ones post in the Character Creation thread. Then one says "Oh great and wonderful lord of all, I pledge undying loyalty" and one gets a private thread created where one can finish creating ones character.

I'm kind of on vacation. I must travel for a portion of the week and I'm trying to decide whether I want to purchase a netbook. I can't make up my mind because it costs money. If you see me posting tomorrow through Wednesday, then you'll know that I have made my decision to own one.

I personally own one and recommend them. With the number of places that offer free WiFi today, and the portability of the netbooks they are extremely useful. You can also load them up with PDFs and use them for reference when TT gaming.

My recommendations on a netbook:
Get SSD (solid state drive). It'll have a smaller drive, but that means no moving parts to break - very usefule for something that is very mobile.
Get the unix/linux version. Windows OS will overload the hardware and slow it down.
Do not load anything except the essentials, most likely only a browser and a PDF reader. Anything else will kill the speed. If you need Office-like ability, use Google Documents - it has everything and is online.

Remember, it's a netbook not a laptop. It's not meant to be powerful, just portable.

I'm not a huge fan of converting from 3.5 to Pathfinder...but I suppose it does give one an ability to fix some previous errors.

Check the "Tools" tab, and scroll down to where we keep our various SRDs. The fourth one on the list is the PRD.

Pathfinder is currently complete OGL, so any questions can be answered directly.

The actual conversion is pretty easy, so just ask.

There are two door remaining:
One is beyond the room with the plant person in it, where the pixies tripped out - thusly beyond your reach as the most recent room.
The second is the wooden looking door near you that the pass card did not work on. You tried the card and it didn't work, so you moved on.

I vote we mark those two doors inaccessible and move on. I'm wanting to get back on track for the main storyline.

Well, my first question is, "how do I do it?" or better yet, "Can someone do it for me?"

There's really not a huge difference between 3.5E and Pathfinder. The exact descriptions and mechanics of stuff got switched around, and most classes have more abilities and such.

Probably the biggest change is in skills, honestly. There's no more "x4" skill points at first level. You just get a +3 to any class skill that you have ranks in. That, and some of the skills got combined, like Hide and Move Silently are now Stealth, and Spot and Listen are now Perception.
