I am leaving a table top game because I am too old

Some milestone eh?

The game dosen't "reaaly" get going until after midnight on Friday's, and I can't stay up that late anymore

Also I have heard second hand that my Ukulele playing is a distraction (My charatcer, a bard, plays the Uku and so I bring mine and strum a few chords when ever I decribe my character doing some "bard" stuff) but aparently this generation of players is only concerned with talking about all the bonuses they get to their rolls because they happen to be the lattest greatest prestige class.

Blah, I wish I had a Ukulele I could bring to the table, but I have to settle for using songs from the Final Fantasy soundtracks for my bard spells.

How can they think a Ukulele wouldn't be totally fricking awesome? Besides, it shows dedication to the game. I think stuff like that makes the game more fun, even if it's only little things. For example, when I'm DMing, I often wear my "+20 Shirt of Smiting" or my "NPC" shirt. And I make lots of secret dice rolls just so the clicking sounds will make my players nervous because they think they've failed some Spot check or something. And when someone plays a character with a familiar, we bring out the ferret. Animal Companions or pack animals mean we bring in a lazy dog who sits by the table giving us all sad looks. I also like playing the "Victory Fanfare" clips from several FFs when the PCs finish tough battles, or play the battle music while they're fighting, or the "Going to Sleep" music when they rest for the night. I dunno, stuff like that just makes the game more fun to me.

FINISHED FIRST GAME!!!

Yes, my very first game has finished. My signature details how it ended. It is true... irony sucks. The ending was better written. But like it says, it is summarised.

Oh, reminds me. Can add another milestone. Admin edited my signature and removed me Peo Quote! He messaged me saying I was avoiding the blocked curses, and removed it. The worst thing is that it has been bumped to far down my list on RPXP and cannot see it anymore!

a way to see "older" RPXP comments is to add the people who have given you recent stuff to your "Ignore" list, even temporarily. Their comments will be hidden, and other comments from ages past will be shown!


You can then remove the people from the list after you have reclaimed the comment.


Note that anyone who currently DMs a game, or whose name is red, cannot be ignored.

Well, this is a sad Milestone. I've been a teacher for several years. Today, I wrote referrals on 2/3's of my 4th block class. That's 12 students out of 18. My admin ( the asst. principal ) banned (suspended) them all for a day. Almost an entire 4th grade homeroom. I've never done that before.

If no one minds, I'll rant on about these particular children who have a considerable lack of self control. I tried positive reinforcement and even a reward failed to keep their attention. Mus not have been concrete enough. However, using real concrete may not be concrete enough. I threatened negative reinforcement and that only worked in increments of 3 minutes or less. I'd say be quiet or else.... and they'd hush. Then the whole process of getting out of control would start again. Since I see these children twice a week, I'll have the pleasure of not seeing them tomorrow. So will the four fourth grade teachers. One even offered to give me a kiss right on the mouth.
