Hello there, everyone. I'd love to add to the cosmopolitan flavor of the game, but sadly I cannot. I'm just a plain old American, from Massachusetts. I'm in the same boat as Makenshi - no real life people to play with, so I'm online, mostly elsewhere, but now here too. Played long ago (20-24 years), had a major hiatus, and then regained interest (as well as time and resources) over the past year or so, and here we are.

Almost done with CS, should post today or tomorrow. Mostly just powers known and equipment left. On that note, I have two questions, Makenshi:

1) What is your take on customized equipment (specifically armor and weapons)? I was going to cobble together a couple of things to capitalize on class abilities and character role, but I know that such things are sometimes considered in a negative light. Any such items would conform to your posted gp allowances, but I wanted to check with you before putting them on the sheet.

2) I'm not sure how fractional BAB works - does it mean that on levels where no BAB is gained, you are actually gaining .5? Or is it something different?

1. Not sure what you mean by that. If you mean adding your own enhancements and such to it, then yeah, that's perfectly fine, otherwise I'm not sure what you mean.

2. Basically, if you're a 3/4 BAB class, you gain 0.75 BAB every level and if you're a 1/2 BAB class, you gain 0.5 BAB per level. For example, say you take 2 levels of a 3/4 BAB class, giving you 1.5 BAB (rounded down to 1 when you use it to attack etc.), if you then take a 1/2 BAB level you would have a BAB of 2 (1.5 + 0.5), instead of 1, as you would if you used the standard system.

I believe all of your classes are 3/4 BAB ones, in which case you simply have the BAB of a level 14 3/4 BAB class (which is 10/5 I believe).

Remember you can ask these sorts of questions in your Journal too, even if it's called a "Game Thread" .

The Prologue is up, though that doesn't mean you need to worry a lot about your sheets yet, the Prologue is mostly to just get you gusy comfortable with your characters, to 'meet and greet' each other and to give you something to do while working on the sheets.
