Did a stretch of comic books.

Finished Preacher, book 1.
Holy ****.
Y'know how comicbooks are percieved by old people to be made for children, when that is often not the case?
This is the biggest 'not the case'. Faces ripped off... then nailed back on upside down. Things done to chickens that should be kept between men and women, angels casually decapitated... only scratching the surface.

So yea, I recommend it.

Then, finished V for Vendetta.
Holy ****, again.
The movie presented things as much less degraded... the comic book drags all of humanity into the gutter, then blows it all to pieces.

Deadpool arrives sometime next week... that should be more peppy.

Wow, I am shocked to not have seen David Gemmell anywhere.

I just finished Waylander: In the Realm of the Wolf (Second book in the Waylander Trilogy).
Before that I had finished out the Rigante series.

So now i'm on to the final portion of the trilogy of the ultimate Assassin.
And I'm also re-reading Lord of the Rings (Still in book one. I'm taking my time), by J.R.R.T.

I finished Sphere yesterday. I had misplaced it for some time before finding it again.

Might read a sequel to something next...

I'm on 'Dragons Of Summer Flame', the later-published fourth book in the Dragonlance Chronicles. So far, not impressed. It's a big drop off in the quality, storyline, and action from the other three books.

The 'War of Souls' trilogy was enjoyable, if not predictable. I still have a big pile of books to go through, and Christmas Amazon stuff is starting to come in the mail, so I definitely have plenty of reading to keep me busy this winter.

I wish I had more books to read

My reading flare died down a while back, I read one or two in a few months, but compared to about a year ago, where I read about 2-3 books a week... meh

During Christmas I bought another few books, in 2 weeks I read one and a bit... my GF returned to America and I haven't picked it up since

It is. Most definitely. There are definitely some interesting things going on in that book.

...

You know, I keep expecting JayRob to post "The latest Playboy magazine" as what he is reading. I really don't know why I keep looking for/expecting that.

I do keep a few back issues in the bathroom, but they're just for show. I hide the D&D books under them.

I'm reading Terry Brook's Shannara Series.

I've read the Pre-Quel the First King of Shannara and the Original, the Sword of Shannara.

I am ready to read the second book, The Elfstones of Shannara, but someone has the book checked out until Feb 4th.

I had two offers to mail me their copies, but I'll just wait until the book comes back into the library. (Thanks Admin Sec and Toad').

I'm thinking of reading Terry Goodkinds "The law of nines".
I just checked and it is available at my Library.

I am reading Generation A by Douglas Coupland. I have read six of his books already and I love all of them. This one is good so far, too.

I see some mentions of the library, that is where I get 99% of the books I read. Sorry to all of you authors out there but I just can't afford it.

I have to go to different town halls around the state for my day job and libraries are very often right next door. I keep an index card with books I want to read and which libraries have them. That way I don't have to use inter library loan that often.
