I love Hemingway.
Currently reading "Unseen Academicals" by Terry Pratchett.

As I'm completely taken of late with the Eberron setting, I'm chewing through novels faster than I can find them. Currently I'm on Keith Baker's "Son of Khyber". So far his novels are the best in the Eberron franchise, in my opinion. Good reads in a great setting.

Not sure if it's age or saltiness that makes "Old Man" more enjoyable. Quote:

I think the bolded part is why you didn't enjoy Hemingway your first time around. You could try that book again.

Seconded. There are also a few really nicely done related novellas by him, and another couple of epic length novels in the same world by his friend Ian Esslemont (sp?). I highly recommend all of them.

Finds it interesting that the Main Characters Last name is Rahl. I wonder if there is some sort of tie in to the Sword of Truth Series, except by name only.

Yay, someone else that likes Preacher! I read that when it first came out, I loved it. I think I have issues 16-49. Ennis does a good job of creating memorable, although occassionally ridiculous, characters.

I think Catcher in The Rye will start being re-read now. R.I.P J.D.

Never read Catcher in the Rye even when I was being graded on it. Strangely enough, I passed that class. I couldn't quite get into it but I felt as though I was living it at the time. Maybe I will give it a chance this time. And possibly "The Stranger" as well.
First, I must finish the War of the Spider Queen series. Just read Insurrection in a day but really what else can one do when literally stuck in bed with a bad back. |

I finished up reading Scott Lynch's "Lies of Locke Lamorra" last night after it was recommended to me a few times. It was a very good read. Moving on to the next Dresden Files book for me, "Small Favor".
