The stuff in the info thread completely overrides it. And no, since they come from different places.

Also, only the Risen is possessed by a god-spirit. Everyone else is otherwise human.

I should probably change the original post, but @NatCaemor, going to need you to look at the info thread posted on the previous page. I'll update the original post to reflect the changes (it's basically a different game with the same name, in an almost identical setting).

Hey, I'm making an application(Jaeger), and while I'm pretty sure I know what I wanna do with the character, I had a question first. Are we supposed to have information about the cities and locations, or are we meant to fill in the blanks? Like when it asks what my favourite/ least favourite thing about the city was, an I supposed to know what the city was like, or do I decide?

I decided to fill out the application under the assumption that I was meant to decide what the city was like. Backstory is shorter than I would normally write but you asked for it to be concise, and I assume the questions from before play a part in that. I can add to and expound upon the details here if you would like.

JAEGER APPLICATION What is your name? Megara Vardich What are your age and pronouns? 28 She/They You come from Paliesen. Why did you leave? Why come to Great Uhl? How did you find out about Hotel Silent-Nya? Are you there for business (the adventurer's bar portion) or pleasure (the love hotel portion)? My reason for leaving is simple, Vanguard business. I'm staying at the Hotel Silent-Nya for the Adventurer's Bar between hunts. What were your favorite and least favorite parts of Paliesen? Of your time in the Malachite Vanguard? While I may not seem like the type, my favourite parts of Paliesen was originally the smallest of the eight cities, it was poor, and struggled to keep up with repairs from monster attacks. The Malachite Vanguard was created to help protect the people of Paliesen from the attacks. With their protection the city was eventually able to grow enough to comfortably protect itself and operate at the same level as the other cities. The Malachite Vanguard would keep their primary headquarters in Paliesen, but would spread out to aid in the hunting of powerful creatures that would otherwise threaten the safety of the cities. For awhile Paliesen was a paradise for small families, who would open up businesses to make lives better for the others in their communities. As Paliesen grew, and more families formed and settled, one family in particular opened up Paliesen's first ever second location, in order to help people in a broader area. As the city continued to expand, so too did more families begin starting additional locations. By the modern day Paliesen has become a city of commerce, acting as a trade hub operating to do business on the behalf of other cities when political tensions wouldn't allow direct business to be conducted. While there are hundreds of names and brands, one thing is common knowledge within the city, but not so well known in the other cities, all of the major store chains are owned by a handful of people. Namely Helena Vardich. While you won't find her name in any of their employment lists, Helena pulls the strings for business and trade in most of Paliesen. The streets of Paliesen see a steady rise and fall of "slum" districts. It seems like one shows up for a week to a few months, before that area is suddenly clean, and new, and safe overnight. A new "slum" appears a few days later, it's not uncommon for a cleaned "slum" to return to its original state. The citizens are divided among those that thrive in the commerce and trade the city is known for, and those that hold a growing disgust for the direction the city is moving in. Of course there are plenty in the middle, simply living within the city, some of them are the descendants of the original families, running the original stores for as long as they can before Helena Vardich inevitably tries to buy them out. The Malachite Vanguard HQ has grown to be an entire district of the city. The Malachite district includes housing, and educational/training facilities. The Jaeger profession is highly regarded, and many come to join the Vanguard without realizing that the number of people who get to hunt monsters isn't as many as they think. Most end up operating as part of the city watch, or they end up in the medical or intelligence fields. In order to justify the size of their facilities, and the insistence from Paliesen to keep growing them, the Vanguard has begun training guards and watchmen for the other cities as well. Unknown to the majority of the city, but there's a thriving and ever expanding undercity within the sewers. While only a fraction of the size of Paliesen proper, the population is steadily growing. While there are rumors floating around among the bars and in break rooms, few if any are aware that the undercity is real. Some theorize that the undercity is creating its own center of commerce in an attempt to undermine the city proper. Paliesen was this little family owned coffee shop, and their neighbors a small family owned bakery, it's the one place I feel what I assume is what people call Peace. A cup of their special, and a fresh pastry? That'll calm me from any mood. I really love all the local businesses that are still standing, I'll spend as much as I need to to keep them open even if it makes me mom mad. My least favourite part? The smell, it doesn't matter how many times you clean the streets with magic, and fill the air with the fake smell of flowers, I can still smell the grime, this city isn't as put together as it looks. There's always talk of expansion, but instead they slap a fresh coat of paint on something that's ready to collapse. Mother always talks about the "competitive market" when she owns every business in town that aren't small family owned places. While my family has always been in the vanguard, I often feel like the vanguard is my real family. If I can't make my blood appreciate me, I know the vanguard does. Who is your connection in the Malachite Vanguard? A higher ranking member? A lower ranking member? A family member? Why did you consent to have them track your location and pass on information about monsters for you to hunt? The Vardich family has been funding, and operating within the Malachite Vanguard since the beginning. While father has retired from services, mother's business ventures see a steady source of money supplied to the Vanguard. My brother Dominic, operates as a general within the Vanguard. Obtaining my consent was as easy as telling me she could hunt monsters and that it might make my family more proud of me than Dominic. Why are you searching for a moon shard? Do you believe the huckster's tale? What will you wish for, if the tale is true? Do you think you'll get a choice in the matter? I don't care if it's true or not. If it is, surely my parents will have to acknowledge me when I bring it to them. I don't think it'll be as simple as finding it. Surely something that powerful is being protected by something strong, and if I can eat that things heart then I'll become more valuable to the vanguard than my brother. What is your biggest accomplishment to date (other than being trained as a member of the elite military group known as the Malachite Vanguard)? Was it slaying a giant monster and consuming its essence? Was it finding the love of your life? Was it getting out of bed this morning despite crippling depression? My biggest accomplishment was the first heart I devoured. It wasn't my hardest, or most exciting battle. But the feeling I got as I consumed my opponents essence? That was better than any praise I could receive. Even if I can't make my family proud with my time in the vanguard, I'll be happy for as long as I can keep hunting and consuming monsters. Starting level is 3. Leveling will be quick. Feats: Slasher, Tough, Charger(Varient Human) Starting weapons: Great Sword, Flintlock Pistol Maneuvers known and prepared: Flying Dragon Leep, Parkour Master, Deflect Missile(Prepared) Languages known: Common, Common Sign Language, and Paliesen Appearance: Megara has a large muscular build and tan skin. She has dark hair pulled into a tight braided ponytail, locked in place by metal bands, with the tip encased in a sharp metal cap. She has a strong commanding jawline and a larger than average smile. Her teeth are sharper than the usual humans, not to a point where it's incredibly obvious, but you can tell when you look closely or when she bites you. Her eyes shimmer with the colour of honey, but display no such sweetness. Her arms are covered in scars from claw and bite marks. History: Megara is the second child in the current Vardich generation, and an accident. As such her brother has always had her parents good graces, she's always been tossed to the wayside. Her parents always resented her, and Megara grew a disdain for them as well, but despite that she found herself always longing to prover herself to them. While her brother got higher education, Megara had to teach herself how to read using the books she could find at home. She thought she could earn a right to a real education if she could prove she was capable of learning. Nothing she ever did would make her parents appreciate her any more or her brother any less. While her brother always treated her with love and respect that didn't stop Megara from building a resentment towards him. With their families status with the Vanguard, Dominic was let in with little effort. Megara however was forced to apply under a false name, her parents weren't going to let her coast off their status. She didn't need the help, but when she proved her worth and made it into the Vanguard her family wouldn't let her take the family name. It wasn't until Dominic stepped in and insisted that he would leave if Megara couldn't use her real name that they relented. During her time with the Vanguard Megara truly felt alive. Ultimately her goal was to prove her worth to her family, prove that her existence wasn't a mistake. But Megara enjoyed the hunts more than anything she's ever done, this truly was her calling. She remembers the first time she downed a beast and carved into its chest. She devoured that heart like she'd been starved for weeks, and it was the only thing that gave her sustenance. After that first heart her fellow vanguard members notes that her teeth appeared sharper, they couldn't agree if it was a result of eating the heart, or if she did it herself to make eating hearts easier. Ever since that point Megara lived for the hunt, if she couldn't gain her family's respect, she would at least become the best monster slayer in the vanguard's history.

Oh good, than I did that right. I held back a little bit about the city in case that wasn't what I was meant to do, but I can elaborate further if it's not enough.

Feel free to add more~ Saves me work. Only Great Uhl has any defined features right now. (The shanty town slums and the orphanage...and the Field of Daggers outside the slums)

Since you said I could, I decided to add a little more detail, but also I added a TT with a more thorough description of Paliesen. I figured I would help work out the Jaeger origin city for you to use in case my character is selected. I hope nothing conflicts, let me know if it does, and I may add more if it comes to me.
