Naxori, Strange Aeons Naxori / Ben 20 years old, Female Tiefling, Neutral Good Green Scourge Druid "Aberrations have no place in the world, luckily for me I am only half of one." Traits: You awake feeling emboldened after a terrifying nightmare. Instead of being frightened by the bizarre creatures from your nightmares, these experiences have steeled you against these startling alien beings. You know that you fell victim to strange circumstances and loathsome forces, but you refuse to give in to a creeping sense of helplessness. Instead, you vow to fight back against whoever or whatever is responsible for your current situation. The creatures of your nightmares won’t hold fear over your head. You'll take the fight to them. You gain a +1 trait bonus on saving throws against extraordinary, spell-like, and supernatural abilities of aberrations (for example, a gibbering mouther's gibbering or an intellect devourer's confusion). In addition, whenever you're confused and roll to determine behavior in a given round, subtract 10 from the result.Foe of the Strange (Campaign), You gain a +2 trait bonus on initiative checks.Reactionary (Combat) and Whenever you use your wild shape class ability to turn yourself into a Small or Medium-sized animal, the effect lasts for 2 hours per druid level instead of 1 hour per druid level.Beast of the Society (Magic) Character Sheet: HERE Appearance There is no hiding her fiendish birth by any means, red skin, horns, claws, a tail and yellowish eyes all are hard to miss features and nearly impossible to conceal despite how much she wished she could at times. So Naxori instead has just accepted it and flaunts it openly, better to know where people stand then have to guess, and once you get past her initial appearance there is so much more. She appears taller due to her horns but is only a few inches over five feet, with long flowing black hair with reddish streaks that are more prominent in the light and stand out against her often earthier toned leathers and clothing that she typically wears. A carved wooden medallion of the green faith hangs upon a simple but sturdy leather strap around her neck, and otherwise has many of the trappings one might expect of an adventurer like a stout quarterstaff and a sharpened dagger at her belt along with a sturdy backpack. Ben on the other hand is everything you would expect in a gorilla if you had ever seen one, thick blackish brown fur, big brown eyes with a stocky barrel chested build. What perhaps might be unexpected is that Ben actually has a suit of leather armor that was custom fit to his shape and size, and there is something quite exceptional about about seeing a gorilla with leather armor. Personality Counter to appearance Naxori is every bit the young woman out in the world, she laughs easily and enjoys being immersed in the throng of humanity. She has a deep respect for the natural world and those that live within it, and has made it her life's mission to protect it from that which is unnatural and should have no place with in it. She takes this obligation seriously is not easily swayed from dealing with such intrusions whenever they are found, but she also knows that not everything is necessarily what it seems so has a least some caution to temper her resolve. She is drawn to the smell and taste of mint, enjoys her food spicy and isn't all that interested in worked metals any more than absolutely necessary. Background Her background is nothing truly exceptional or exciting, her mother was druid much like Naxori and her father could have been one of a few people but her mother was not one for long term relationships but he was likely a red skinned barbarian that she worked closely with while investigating an aberration outbreak that had been plaguing an area. He didn't have the horns, tail or eyes like her but her own traits might simply been a result of nature running its course. Her mother had a network of friends that she worked with all about the region and much of her younger years was spent travelling at her side or in temporary care of her friends should her task prove too dangerous for Naxori to accompany her on. Once Naxori became an adult, she followed in her mother's footsteps and took on training with her mother and friends, until two years ago when her mother insisted that Naxori needed to explore the world on her own for a bit and gain the freedom to discover more about herself in the process. They still meet from time to time, and often the circle of friends they share will pass messages along when they can but Naxori is definitely on a path that holds great promise for her.

@OneDarkness what sort of role do you have in mind for her? Is she some sort of healer/support or purely magic-oriented. Sure, druids can do magic, just want to know the sort of role you have in mind for her.

Do animal companions fit in with this campaign, the first page of the players guide says you wake up in an asylum with no memory of how we got there, would she wake up with her animal companion as well or should I look to take a different form of natures bond as I am not familiar with the AP or what happens after that point?

Early levels will be fairly in your face martial with decent martial stats (see spoiler button for mechanics) and claws, as a druid she will definitely have some magical ability but it will mostly be in support of her being a front liner.

I think the player's guide mentions animal companions somewhere.

This is what the Player's Guide says:

The fugue state that afflicts the player characters also extends to any animal companions, eidolons, familiars, phantoms, or spirit animals, who likewise find themselves unable to recall or relay any recent memories. Your kinship with such a creature remains strong and true, even if your character may not remember ever having it as a companion!

So you should have the companion with you at the start.

Imagine waking up next to a lion! I suppose all those other options are just as terrifying though if your character doesn't remember them.

Your animal companions are available at the start, and there will be there shortly after you wake up.

I feel like the electric eel wouldn't be that scary. It'd just lay there gasping.

Alright than animal companion it is of the big cat variety, a totally non threaten tiger of course with big claws and teeth to totally terrify somebody when they wake up
