Character: Vishk Esh Faelin
![]()
Background: Vishk grew up with a modest lifestyle, his father being a caretaker of large research facility. To keep Vishk busy, so his father could work, Vishk was often given hard to impossible tasks. Tracking down lost scrolls, trinkets, or books that others couldn’t locate. The young Elf quickly learned a love for inquisitive, logical, and detailed thinking. With a will to always win the approval of an apathetic father, Vishk worked hard to locate the lost trinkets. He was constantly disappointed and hammered with the idea, that intelligence was the most valuable trait a person could have. His youth was merely the training grounds for his investigation work, a never-ending appetite for mystery and unknown.... a chance to prove his worth. Personality: Always reflecting on a response before opening his mouth, Vishk is calculating. He values mental strength in others, his basis of judgment. He isn’t arrogant with his treatment of those less than him… he simply will lose interest, as his mind will inevitably wander off to some puzzle he has yet solved; rehashing the details, trying to discover it secrets. There is no greater compliment and insult than proving him wrong. Failure weighs hard on him. Description: Tall Elf with black hair and gray eyes. Questions: Are you doing weight management rules? (I may adjust my build / stats if we do) Is taking Fey-Sighted alternate racial trait ok? if not I'll take Envoy or Vigilance |

It is something that I don't really put much emphasis (weight management rules, I mean). As for the alternate racial trait, it's ok. Though you still need to take two more traits (added with campaign trait, you get three traits, plus one drawback).

I've added a character sheet to my app, with some basic plans for future levels. Gear's not done, but the important stuff is there. Side note: building a non-human archer without feat tax rules is tough. Although using an orc hornbow does mitigate the delayed Deadly Aim a bit.

Maya,
As there are six martial applicants and only one slot ... how about you accept two martial types, one melee oriented (may the best half orc win) and one ranged. :-). The odds of players dropping in the first months is high, thereafter one often has a stable crew of players. Just a suggestion. Last edited by CatCanCook; Jan 13th, 2023 at 01:07 PM. |

Background: There is a long history of the Vadekar family's rise to nobility. Originally, his ancestors were commoners who dwelt among the Vudrani-Banjarey mountains. Life was hard. The rocky terrain made farming difficult and goat herders traveled far distines to guarantee feed for their herds. The Vadekar family had higher ambitions than a simple nomadic life. They dug their heels and shovels in; terraforming the land for farming, carving water canals, and lastly digging straight into the mountain in search of riches. Fate was with them, silver was found, and lots of it. The family turned their faith to Omratji and lived by his edicts. They mastered the craft of metal work and trade. With their new faith, they used their silver to gain influence and rose up to nobility. Eventually the family moved to the island state of Vudra. This is where Jhanda is from. He continued the traditions of his ancestors, learning the craft of jewelry and spreading good with the help of silver. This is why Jhanda traveled to Ustalav in search for new trade routes to spread his family's silver and influence Personality: Jhanda has taken Omratji’s edits to heart. He prefers diplomacy over violence, redemption over punishment, and believes pure silver can cleanse any evil. Sure, he would defend himself if backed into a corner or help another. He isn’t a pacifist. If the cause was right, he wouldn’t hesitate to back it. Though his support normally comes in the form of a healing spell, nobility influence, or silver. Every hero and war needs supporters. Jhanda is always looking for a new friend or customer. He can be found any day in a tavern sharing a drink with common folk and on another, sipping tea with royalty. Like two sides of a silver coin, Jhanda can see both sides of an argument and helps find a resolution (sometimes by sliding that coin into another's pocket). Jhanda has had a comfortable life but not necessarily pampered. His family raised him with hard work ethics. While other nobles focused on etiquette and formalities Jhanda had to split his time with studies and craft. Sometimes this makes him a black sheep in noble circles, but this is soon forgotten when he gifts a hostess one of his family's famous handcrafted jewelry. Note for GM: There is one part of this build that needs a GM ruling. My character concept was someone who could influence the battlefield without actively attacking. Healing, buffing, summoning, etc. I wanted the Leadership subdomain of nobility but this left me with the Leadership power of Nobility, which grants the Leadership feat at level 8. I know the leadership feat is kind of a hot topic. As fun as they are, I don’t need a cohort. As a GM, I can only think of a few scenarios that I would allow one. The feat does have some optional rulings; granting an animal companion or intelligent Item. The companion feels balanced to me, seeing how there are other domains that grant this. This also stays true to my character design. An intelligent item could also be fun. Alternatively you could create a new ability or I could just select another subdomain. The Martyr Subdomain is the only one that seems to stay true to my build. I may need to make some slight adjustments to my character sheet depending on the decision. |

Alright, I'll edit the table soon.
@Airroneous, it is something that we can discuss further if you are selected for the game. As of right now, your character concept is already pretty solid as it is.

We have reached the deadline, character application is now closed. No more application to be accepted from now on.
For those who have applied, thank you. I will take some time to decide which ones to choose for the game. As Ermine mentioned, there will be two groups. Please look forward to it, everyone.

It turns out that the selection process is very hard. This will take sometime.
