What I mean is, the question was "Will you allow the feat tax fix?" as is commonly done to get rid of common "feat taxes" (ie, a nearly worthless feat you have to take in order to get better/useful feats later on).

The answer "There will be no feat taxes in this campaign" not only implements the feat tax fix, but goes beyond, it could be argued, and eliminate almost all other feats that could be argued to be a feat tax (I am looking at you, spell focus conjuration). That is a feat tax but it NOT corrected in the common "feat tax fix").

I suspect the GM meant "We won't be using the feat tax fix", not "There will be no feat taxes". But, i am not sure, so... checking.

So, I'll explain on how I will choose the party. Simply put, in this party of four, there will be a martial-oriented character, a magic-oriented character, a healer/support and a jack-of-all-trades or skill monkey. Of course, this won't be a hard rule, so just try your luck.

I revised my application away from Paladin. A martial-oriented occultist, given that class is allowed. (At higher levels the character adds magical support and a little healing, but for low levels, definitely just a martial.)

I think I'm going to revise my class away from Magus and onto Arcanist since it can still fit my character concept and be more focused in one of the roles.

I'm sticking with Unchained Rogue. Obviously, he'd be a skill monkey, and also (rather bizarrely) a back-up Healer if needed later on potentially from 3rd level onwards) amongst other things.

I may be, but it depends on if I get into the other game for if I apply, because I'll be applying with a kineticist here, too, and don't want to get confused between characters if I get in both. Tempted to ask if I can play a kitaune so I can be a kitsuneticist (and not just because I can make it one word like that), but I'll probably go heavily-alternate-racial-trait'ed Dwarf.

Edit: does it matter where our characters are from?

Well, as long as they live somewhere in Golarion, sure, though I'd prefer if they are within the locality (anywhere in Avistan, much preferably in Ustalav if you must). Go ahead with kitsuneticist if you want.

Mix between lovecraftian horror and pathfinder adventures? Count me in! I'll try to get something together soon but I'm kind of thinking a bard who uses music to make strange discoveries about the universe, along the lines of 'The Music of Erich Zann', one of my favorite Lovecraft short stories.

That does sound fun. I've sort of accidentally gone Cats of Ulthar for part of my backstory. Except foxes.
