The Haunted Palace: So called due to tragedy. Bryn had a king some 17 years ago. He was chosen to lead because he was the strongest of the Skyriders. His name was Valeros. Just minutes after the birth of his daughter, a fellow Skyrider approached the king, demanding him to hand over rule. This other rider, called Gunnar, claimed that the Vyks of Slavyria should be overthrown and that their land should be an extension of Bryn. Valeros declined both the challenge of rule and the thought of imperialism. Enraged, Gunnar struck out at King Valeros with his Duom, wounding the king's side. He fell to his knees and drew his sword, spinning to slice Gunnar's face. Gunnar struck once more, ending the king's life. The Queen, still bleeding from childbirth, jumped from her bed and struck Gunnar once with her Glaive, wounding him greatly and buckling his breastplate. The mighty blow was followed by another to Gunnar's sword-arm, crippling it so he could never wield a weapon again. Gunnar fled the kingdom on his Drake, never to be heard of again and the Queen took the throne.

Malendoljaar: The Capitol of Bryn and home to the Haunted Place. The name Malendoljaar literally means "Place of the Enemy's Temple". During the Dragon War, millenia ago, the Brynites were the only mortals to fight alongside the Dragons. They themselves named the capitol, wanting to show just what side they were on. They said "We will always be kin to the Dragons, and so to those who would harm them, we will always be their Enemy."

The Four Generals of Bryn:

Lucius, The Queen's Thunder: This man is of Energyborn descent. He has pale skin and long blonde hair that falls to his waist. His body is scrawny and feminine, but he is a force to be reckoned with. He commands the power of electricity within his veins, and uses it to power is sword -The Lightbrand. The Lightbrand is a sword with two blades that run side by side, allowing him to hook an enemy's blade or channel his electricity through it. His Darke is of the frost variety and she is called LuLu.

Heerth, the Flame of Valor: This Skyrider of Legend is known by all Brynites. He hatched and trained a drake all by himself, far from Malendoljaar. The egg he found is said to be the last of the Ancients. That egg hatched into Tempest, the electric drake. Heerth, an Energyborn, trained the drake at age 14, becoming the youngest unassisted rider/trainer in history. He was discovered by General Lucious and drafted into the army, where he ascended to the rank of General by age 16. He was married to a Kastyr named Syndis and she became pregnant with his son, Hark. Just three months into Syndis' pregnancy, Heerth discovered Gunnar's plans and went by himself to stop him. Heerth defeated all 436 of Gunnar's men by himself, before falling to Gunnar's blade.

Hark, the Brave (also known as Hark, the Bold): Only son of the Legendary Skyrider Heerth, Hark rides his father's mount. He is the only rider in history to do so and it is said that he is fated to be a Legend in his own right. He is the leader of your unit.

Skyriders - The best of Bryn's Military.
Shays - Families of Shayshals, Descendants of Shayshals and Shays (Standard nobles)
Drakeriders - Standard Military personnel.
Kastyrs (Kas-teers) - Military mages. Mounted and on foot.
Damnaers (Dahm-nayers) - Holy rollers of all sorts.
Commoners - Commoners. Many a slang word is used. All of them degrading.
Falyn (Fallen) - Deserters, those who surrender etc.
