I was just rechecking rules and realized the knowledge check for undead is religion. Sorry about that, those of you with knowledge-religion know they are ghouls. I was thinking it was dungeoneering or nature for some reason. I'll blame it on the flu.

and yes, once a ghoul enters my threatened space, I should get a free attack against it, I should then be put into initiative after the ghoul I attack makes his action.

Btw, out of curiosity, what is the state of everyone's weapons armor gear etc. I normally wouldn't start something like this but so far the dm has encouraged a little metagaming on our part and I think it would be a good idea to get an idea where everyone stands.
Now, based on the last little treasure room everyones gear might be improving soon, granted that we survive the encounter that is. From the looks of it, there were a good bit of weapons in that room, some books and such and who knows what is in the chest but somehow I doubt it is armor, those are rather big. Now the reason I ask this is because Moradin has a talent for making things like armor and weapons. Basically he can take 10 to craft masterwork arms and armor and has the tools to do it if not the materials, but those can be acquired. He can also simply improve on your existing armors and weapons by simply making and attaching the masterwork components. Which would cut the crafting time down a lot. So if it is ok with JustDave I would like everyone to give me an idea of where they stand equipment wise. |

Thats easy enough to masterwork, masterwork is basically customizing, add some better sights maybe some custom gold inlaying, reinforcing the bow to provide more force, etc.
I also had an idea I would like to try which is basically a spin off of R.A.Salvatores Oil of Impact darts from the cleric quintet but I was thinking something a little different. Same design on the bolt with the hollow center that collapses on impact naturally fitted with thin walled glass vials that break upon collapse, but instead of oil of impact they are filled with either acid or alchemist fire making them crossbow bolts with a splash effect. What do you think, more importantly Justdave, what do you think? You would need a customized bandoleer one that held each bolt individually so they didn't accidentally break while moving around. I suppose if we could get our hands on some mithral he could make her a mithral heavy steel shield, it would have a -1 armor check penalty and a 5 pct spell failure chance, and weigh 7.5 pounds, but, it would add a +2 shield bonus to your AC which would stack with your mage armor and you can always set it down when needing to cast, or just attach a line from it to your belt and let it drop for casting. Question for players: I think you guys have been great and the posting rate has been high so I hope nobody thinks I am upset. We have been waiting on Carroway for about a day to act. In this kind of situation where the game is waiting on a single player and the player's action is obvious as in this case (Carroway moved back down the tunnel and readied his bow in his last post), are you comfortable with the GM making a post for the player. If so, how long should the wait be? Two days?
I'm just getting feedback on balancing keeping the game moving with not stepping on players toes. |

Ysuran has himself a set of scale mail and a heavy steel shield. as for weapons he has a Kukri sheathed just above his buttocks. and a falcatta as a primary. If I remember correctly making a masterwork falcatta is a higher DC then standard shield or sword, so you will likeley nedd to roll your craft skill for that one.

@Dave that is all up to you, as part of the applications you asked how often we could post failure to do so would have the consequences of your choosing (hopefully not us getting kicked from the game, but many DM's do NPC in these situations)

However you cannot add the "masterwork" quality to a weapon unless you use the spell (forget the name of it) all masterwork weapons and armor have to be made as masterwork.

Shouldn't be too long, he gets access to the make masterwork spell at level 3 as a cleric, so in two levels. I figured it would take a while anyways before we have a secure enough position to be able to actually accomplish any crafting unless it's small stuff, this is simply for the planning phase
