Tablet issues again - I don't know where Azura is in relation to others, so feel free to apply -4 to my roll if Azura is shooting into melee!

Azura steels herself as the creatures appears. It is the first time she sees the grim face of undeath, but her mothers bedtime stories had included such creatures, so she isn't entirely surprised by their gruesome mannerisms. Looking down the shaft of the crossbow bolt, she puts the closest of the undead in her imaginary crosshairs and

Not even checking to see if she hit or misses, she frantically begins to reload the crossbow once more, her thin arms flexing miniscule muscle as she pulls the mechanism. Come on, Azu, just half an inch more!

All at once, the hallway was filled with missiles traveling towards the undead. The long tongued one took a hammer to it's chest that did not drop it, but left a concave depression. Bareris' ray missed but Jaya's bolt struck the wounded long tongued fiend between the eyes dropping it to the ground.

Azura, aiming her shot around Jaya, barely missed the next one behind.

As the vile undead approach, Ysuran takes action, swinging his blade at the creatures head looking for a decapitation. but the creature see's his attack and stops itself just as the tip of the blade scratches the tip of its nose. Blasts it all! you foul beasts may be quick but Ysuran Horindill shall not be vanquished by the likes of you!

Carroway feels himself loose his first arrow against living (or undead) foes in his life. Training did not really prepare him for fighting undead abominations, but he refuses to let his courage falter.

Putting another arrow to the bow he fires again, his arrow flying Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot

toward the undead, but he is too busy drawing another arrow to check for more.

Moradin pummels the burnt ghoul but it is still standing despite the crushed pelvis. Bareris steps up in the gap and stabs at the greasy haired ghoul with his falchion. It runs the ghoul through and as he pulls it out Bareris gives it a twist and a slash nearly quartering the ghoul as it flops on the ground instantly dead.

The burnt ghoul recovers from it's wound and mindlessly attacks Moradin with it's sharp teeth and disease filled claws.

The burnt ghoul's claw miss the mark, but his is able to grab onto the dwarf's shield arm leaving a nasty wound.


OOC--Moradin must make fort save DC 13 or become diseased.

There be only one ghoul remaining, Ysuran moves behind the creature, slashing at its neck looking for a quick kill.

The last ghoul standing is cut down by Ysuran's blade splashing blood and pus against the smooth stone wall. The threat is ended for now. The tunnel is quiet and as of yet, the fire beetles have not pursued you anywhere near this far down the tunnel.


OOC--We are using fast xp advance and with role playing xp and combat xp advance to a total of 1300 xp. The next time you rest advance to 2nd level. Roll for 2nd level HPs in OOC thread (roll twice, take higher). Moradin still needs to make a DC check for disease and if he fails starts feeling the effects in 24 hours. As best you can guess it's the witching hour, about 4 hours since you first entered the Green Dragon.

Carroway watches the last of the three go down, obviously surprised. Mere seconds had passed, and three creatures had fallen.

Nodding to his compatriots he returns the third arrow to his quiver and moves past them, drawing his longsword to check that the creatures truly are dead. He severs their heads from their bodies, just in case, with a swift blow.
