Allow me a few moments, there are some possessions of mine that I must go and fetch before we assault the goblins, the cave system may be rather large and I'd not want to be without the proper equipment. Ysuran turns and heads to the stables. When Ysuran arrives just ten minutes later, he is carrying a bit of rope some torches as well as a small bag with various tools. Lets leave the imposter with the guard, they seem like good people. They can judge his fate.

"Aye it may be for the best, but then I think I would rather have him where we can be keeping an eye on him." Moradin responded, realizing that it took the 6 of them to take down the dopplegangers the first time. That and they could not remove his weapons without cutting off the things fingers and pulling out all of its teeth. Somehow, he didn't think he wanted to be a part of that process.

Ysuran returns to the group with his gear. On the way back he saw both Weston's drinking at the Green Dragon with Tedd and Alana serving drinks.
You all descend the spiral staircase into a dimly lit stone room with cobblestone floors. The magical lights on the walls are shaded by thick glass. Moradin knows bright light can harm fine spirits as the reason. As you enter the room, Moradin's eye's show a deep sadness. Hundreds of bottles of the world's finest spirits, wines and ales are either broken or drained. Some he recognizes as being hundreds of years old. To think of them turned to goblins piss, the horror. In the far east wall, there is a small opening in the wall leading to a natural corridor that turns south out of view. Dim light flickers in the corridor along with the smell of smoke wafting in says there's a fire down that corridor somewhere. Quiet echo's of goblinese bounce into the room sounding like normal conversation and putting the goblins some distance away. The doppelganger whispers I can call out the leaders to come up here. |

"Anyone of you understand gobbo?" Bareris asked, "Well, I don't, so If those gobbos act strange..." The half-orc drew his dagger, pulled the doppelgangers head back and put his dagger at the fiend's throat.

The doppelganger scans the room with shifty eyes and takes a deep breath, for those that understand goblin he yells in an authoritative voice "Grob and Epek! Boss needs to talk with you. You hear growls and goblin chatter echoing in followed by yelping as the growling stops. Two loud footsteps make their way up the tunnel cursing as they come.
The doppelganger looks at you with anticipation like a dog who performed a trick awaiting a treat. ---OOC Move your tokens on the roll20 map before you make a post on how you want to act. The hole in the wall is about 3 feet wide by 4 feet tall. |

"Thank you." Bareris said and slit the doppelgangers throat. As the body slumped to the floor, Bareris drew his falchion and readied himself to give the gobbo's a very warm welcome.

Azura stares wide-eyed at the half-orcs handiwork. Such coldness.. she marvels, but says nothing. What disturbes her most, is that she doesn't know whether she is disgusted or relieved. Perhaps both.
Shrugging off the shock, she speaks an arcane syllable and moves her hand in a mage armorwarding gesture, in preparation for the goblins advance. Last edited by Valeur; Mar 7th, 2013 at 06:06 PM. |

The Paladin gasps in horror, actually turning his arrow toward Bareris "Monster!" then he lowers his voice, "Killing an unarmed prisoner! We will have words about this..." but this isn't the time for it, he turns his bow forward again and gets ready for the battle.
The worst part was he didn't do anything illegal. Dopplegangers have no rights in this country. But evil is evil, by any standard, and he will not willingly travel with one who would do such a thing without a very good reason.

Aye, this not be the time for it, be ye had not be needin to do that, he couldn't say he felt too much regret, in the heat of battle he would have probably done the same thing, but to see it done in cold blood made him wonder if the half orc was more akin to his full blooded cousins. Something he didn't enjoy the thought of.
As far as dwarfs go, he was pretty accepting of both half orcs and even the occasional orc gone good so to speak, but to simply kill the man after he had kept his end of the bargain was a step too far. |

"A dead enemy can't stab you in your back. I don't like loose ends." Bareris just shrugged, "He would have been executed anyway."
The half-orc readied himself to cleave any gobbo that passed through the opening in two. |

Executed maybe, but that was not for us to decide! He had attacked us true but the ones who were to judge him were the families of those he wronged, not us! The Elf spoke up anger and remorse in his voice If we aren't given the chance to recant for our crimes, how are we to better ourselves?
The Elf unslung his shield and unsheathed his sword at the sounds of the goblins coming from up ahead. If we are truley better than monsters like that creature certainly was, then we must show it! sinking to their level and executing them in cold blood. That is the way of the fiends we are here to destroy! If we cannot stay our blades against helpless monsters, how are we any better than they are? Ysuran assumed his defensive pose, his shield pointed to the tunnel. The blue Rose emblazoned upon it would meet the incoming fiends as they approached. His falcatta stood at the ready, defending its master should a threat arise.

Moradin shakes his head in disgust at the lack of discipline, if they were lucky only all of the goblins would come at once to figure out who all the voices belonged to and not with their pet monstrosity in tow.
Moving to the side of the hole, Moradin muttered a few prayers to his god and waited hoping to catch the creatures off guard. Last edited by Alexader; Mar 9th, 2013 at 03:14 AM. |

As the two goblins approach the small opening, all is quiet except their footsteps and grumbling about being treated like servants. The first goblin nonchalantly stepped into the room still engaged in conversation with the goblin behind him. As he entered the wine cellar, his head was immediately crushed back down in between his shoulder blades by Moradin's hammer. The second goblin stood mouth agape in the opening.
OOC--Players have surprise round. Moradin already went. The second goblin is behind the hole in the wall, and has partial cover against melee and ranged attacks. |

The execution of the doppleganger was one thing, but this was battle. The quicker they slew these creatures the quicker they could wipe out the rest of the trecherous brood.
He watches the first creatures skull cave in with a wince, but focuses his attention on the second trying to line up his own shot. Dice initiative:
