If it's more convenient I wouldnt mind dispensing with exp altogether. Both of my meatspace games ignore exp and just level up when appropriate, generally between arcs. Helps cut down on bookkeeping and eliminates the mindset of 'kills = xp, so kill everything = more xp'.

Even if I do go with xp this will not be the mindset. XP comes from defeating an encounter. Walking invisibly past a security guard will give the same experience as beating him up. Bribing him will probably give more because you'll probably get some roleplaying xp to go with it (which would partly make up for spending money)

Just to keep us moving along. If you want to change plans as Bait was considering based on new information you'll be able to do so from there easily enough, and your contact, being in intelligence, might be able to tell you more regardless.

This has been at the back of my mind for a while now but Ive been trying to fight it, because as much as I need to I didnt want to step away. I've decided to take a hiatus from rpgcrossing. I just cant seem to summon the mental energy for worthwhile posts lately and that isnt fair to the rest of you. So I've decided to bite the bullet and step away for a while. Sorry to do this so early into a new game, but better for me to do so now than to drag it out.
