I was going to write an in character writing sample but my character history really got out of hand. I was trying to figure out the character as I went which is why it is a bit lengthy. I can write a paragraph of synopsis if you would rather, Drachenspirit.
I will have a link to a complete character sheet tomorrow as well, but the written portion of Zanzi is done, unless you want me to make that change.

@Drachenspirit You must have misread. It was bomd nr 5, not 6. The one with the childhood friend, just replaced with her father instead. I'll get the sheet up to date today

![]() Character Name: Lizbeth Staunton Race: Human Variant Class: Cleric (War Domain) Description: Lizbeth stands nearly six feet tall. Decked in heavy armor and wielding a massive glaive, she cuts an imposing figure. Her long ashen colored hair is kept free and hanging down her back. At her waist hangs a small metal gauntlet, the symbol of Torm. Personality: Lizbeth is quick to smile and can often be found socializing with her fellow brothers and sisters in arms of her Order. During battle, she is usually one of the first ones into the fray, never backing down in the face of evil. Her passion to quell the forces of darkness is matched only by her desire to aid those in need, whether by a blanket and bowl of soup or praying to Torm for healing to relieve someone's suffering. Background: Faction Agent (Order of the Gauntlet) Trait 1: I can stare down a hell hound without flinching Trait 2: I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success. Ideal: I trust that Torm will guide my actions. I have faith that if I work hard, things will go well. Bond: Every five nights, you have a strange sequence of apocalyptic dreams. The world is destroyed by cold, choking fumes, lightning storms, waves of acid, and horrible fire. Each time, the dream ends with ten evil eyes glaring at you from the darkness. You feel a strange compulsion to travel to Greenest. Perhaps the answer to the riddle of your dreams awaits you there. Flaw: I am inflexible in my thinking Character History: Born to simple farmers not far from the walls of Baldur's Gate, Lizbeth found her faith early in life, finding that the teachings of Torm aligned with her own beliefs. After that, it was not long before the Order of the Gauntlet found her, seeing a familiar fire burning in her heart. She was quick to join and has been a staunch member ever since. Her martial companions ensured that she received the training necessary to complement the ferociousness by which she engaged the enemy, finding ways to marry the divine blessings of Torm with the righteous deeds carried out by the tip of her weapon. For the last few weeks, Lizbeth has been wracked with vivid dreams of death and destruction, each one overshadowed by a menacing dark presence remaining just out of sight. After the third of such dreams, she took it as a message from Torm, directing her to take action. She explained her visions to the Order and they agreed that they should not be ignored. As she set out, she was overcome with a strange compulsion to head toward Greenest... Last edited by Silent Rain; Mar 6th, 2020 at 11:03 AM. |

@Totentanzen Nothing wrong with a little competition. Besides, maybe each group needs a cleric...

![]() Ragnar Cragstalker
Character Name: Ragnar Cragstalker Race: A human blessed by the totem spirits of the UthgardtShifter Class: Barbarian; Totem Warrior Description: Ragnar is of Uthgardt blood; Black haired and bearded with skin tanned and weathered by exposure to the tundra and mountains of his tribe. His skin is tattooed in the Uthgardt fashion; swirling patterns, knotwork and the images of various beasts while his attire is further unapologetically primitive assembled from furs, skins, and bones. He is adored with talismans and fetishes, claimed upon hunts in honour of the spirit animals of his people. Personality: Ragnar is uncouth. His people had no need for etiquette and the trappings of civilisation. He speaks honestly and bluntly and expects others to do the same. He is a noble savage, placing great value in the virtues of his folk: courage, honour, fidelity, self-reliance and perseverance. He is patient when his blood is not up and the beast within rests but recognises well enough that the beast exists. Background: Uthgardt tribe member Trait 1: The more I see of what you call civilization, the more highly I think of what you call savagery! Trait 2: I see omens in every event and action. The spirits try to speak to us we just need to listen. Ideal: Freedom. I live, I love, I slay, and I am content. Chains are meant to be broken, as are those who would forge them. Bond: A dragon destroyed everything you hold dear. It killed slaughtered your clansmen, your people, your kin. Now, with nothing but what you carry on your back and a horrid scar of the near fatal wounds you sustained in the attack, you seek revenge. Flaw: I am slow to trust civilised men and those that meddle with the arcane. Character History: Ragnar was raised amongst barbaric tribesmen, hunting elk across the tundra, foraging for roots and herbs in mountain crags, drinking icy water from rivers of glacier melt. He lived in a world of nature filled with tales of heros and ancient spirits who were to revered. Life was simple. Life was good. Great hunts, wild dances by fire light, sleeping under warm skins and starry skies, woman to love, brothers to bear arms alongside... that was until the dragon came. It laid waste to the tribe's camp, slaughter them to a man. When Ragnar awoke upon the blood stained snows, spared by some whim of the spirits perhaps, he swore his revenge offering blood oaths and howls of rage to the empty skies. Now he has stalked his prey through the southern lands to a place called Greenest. ![]()

Some of these Tie-in Bonds are connected to real NPCs that the party will encounter. The one with the childhood friend is one of these. Unless you want to change it so your character is somehow related to the NPC mentioned in the Bond, you'll have to go with another. Working on updating the Table of applicants today.
