This may be a bit late to say, but I thought adding "miscreants" to the description of the current characters might get apps leaning away from Lawful Good.
If you have a Lawful Good Alignment, you don't mesh with the rest of the team.
Current Alignments are CG, CG, LE, and CN. CE and LG alignments won't make the cut.
Sorry if this means you'll have to rewrite, and I'll change the advert to reflect this.

I would also like to see a character sheet.

Description & Personality.: Erlan looks like a four and a half foot tall rabbit that walks on two feet. Despite his strange appearance, he still dons armor and gear as normal and is more than likely to strike up a conversation in perfectly clear common. Although he can be naive about certain things, he contrasts this with an extensive knowledge of geography and the people and customs that live there. His travels, coupled with an outsider's perspective, have granted him a unique insight into the people that call this place their home.

Unlike other rabbitfolk, Erlan has begun to grow a pair of horns on his head since he came to the Prime Material Plane. Although he cannot explain their existence, he assumes they are connected to his ever growing connection to the Feywild, despite his inability to find a way to return.

Background: Far Traveler (Feywild)
Two personality traits: I have my own ideas about what is and is not food, and I find the eating habits of those around me fascinating, confusing, or revolting. I’m driven by a wanderlust that led me away from home
Ideal: I’m far from home, and everything is strange and wonderful!
Bond: I’m fascinated by the beauty and wonder of this new land.
Flaw: I consider the adherents of other gods to be deluded innocents at best, or ignorant fools at worst.

Backstory: Erlan had been born and raised within the Feywild, among a community of other rabbitfolk. Generations had lived and died within the community, with few venturing far beyond its protection. Erlan however, was born with a curiosity that strayed well beyond what was considered appropriate. As a young kit, his parents were horrified when they discovered that he had been wandering well beyond the boarders of town. Despite their best efforts to put a stop to this embarrassing behavior, Erlan continued to venture further and further.

It was the unknown that drove him onward. Not knowing what was over the next rise or around the next bend were questions that burned a hole in his mind. His wanderings occasional brought him into contact with other creatures of the Feywild that did not have the best of intentions, but Erlan learned to either avoid these or, on occasion, to fight when needed.

It was during one such adventure that Erlan found himself in a strange part of the woods that he did not recognize, which was odd because he had been through that area many times before and knew it very well. As he continued onward, a strange sensation overcame him; he could actually feel the Feywild getting further away. His fate only became more evident when he came upon a small encampment of creatures not native to his home: humans. He recognized them instantly from the stories he had heard growing up. Some of these stories involved these humans somehow stumbling upon a portal into the Feywild. It had seemed that Erlan had done the same, though he had traveled to the Prime.

He tried to recreate his steps, but no matter what he did, he could not find his way back home. What struck him as odd, was that he could still feel the Feywild, as though he were still connected to it somehow. It did not take him long to begin exploring this new world. Although it was similar in many ways to his home, it was also very different. After spending nearly five years in search of a way home, his efforts had been in vain.

He had conceded the fact that he was likely stuck in the Prime and had endeavored to make the most of it, going on all new adventures and meeting new and interesting people along the way. His most recent escapades brought him to the city of Luskan.

Why has your character decided to work with those out of Luskan: Erlan does not need much motivation to work with others that seem goodly folk that will likely also lead to some grand adventure, preferably bringing him to someplace he has not seen yet.

What is your character's over-arching goal: Erlan's goal of finding a way back to the Feywild remains the same, though now that he has spent so much time in the Prime, he is really looking for a way to cross planes at will.

@Everyone - I am considering picking up 1 or 2 for this game, and then 5 more that will run another adventure out of Luskan.
I'll decide over the weekend with all of the other games I'm in and running to see if it will tax me at all.

That said, if you want to be at the top of the consideration list, please note the advert thread and include everything asked for in your app.
Latest change was no LG, CE, or true Neutral Alignments will be considered.

Description of Appearance: 5' 2", 140lbs, Mettalic, coppery hair, pearlescent light tan skin, blue eyes with gold flecks, slender and elfish looking, with a serious cast to his face.
5E background: Criminal
Personality:
Traits: The best way to get me to do something is to tell me I can't do it.
I am always calm, no matter the situation. I never raise my voice or let my impulses control me.
Ideal: Chains are meant to broken, as are those who would forge them.
Bond: I will become the greatest Master of Thieves that ever lived. My network will cover the world.
Flaw: Serious abandonment issues. I expect people to disappear or abscond at any moment.
History/Backstory: Riardon is the son of a half-elf father and an elven mother. His mother Elusiara, being a moon elf, was fond of adventure and new experiences. She was also of a particularly cruel and seductive nature. Riardon's father, Auris, was a half-elf from Waterdeep who had long fantasized about his elven parentage and the life he'd been denied by being born to a human mother in a human city. When Elusiara showed up in town and invited him on adventures, he was all to quick to go along. The adventures started out harmless, but quickly turned criminal, with Auris always doing the dirty work. But he didn't mind. Elusiara's attention and affection was enough. Eventually, Auris's reputation was ruined and after a few near-misses with the Watch following a botched burglary of the Temple of Gond, he couldn't show his face in Waterdeep. But by this time Elusiara was pregnant with Riardon.

They fled the city and lived in a camp in the woods with other outcasts and criminals they'd become acquainted with. They continued their life of crime until Riardon was about two years old. Then Elusiara vanished without a word, bored of her life with the half-elf and unwilling to be tied down to a half-elven child. She sought new adventure elsewhere. Auris, however, loved his son, and tried to provide, but petty crime was all he could do anymore. So Riardon grew up poor, and learned the ways of sneak thievery and petty crime. He learned how to keep the local Xanathar Guild happy and how to steer clear of Zhentarim affairs. But ot wasn't enough for him. He wanted a life of true freedom. One where people sought to keep HIS guild happy and steer clear of HIS affairs. There was no room to grow near Waterdeep. So he bid his father goodbye, and set out on his own. First he went souh to Baldur's Gate. He ran with a crew there for a while, learning new skills, and even managed to steal a Bag of Tricks from a wizard. But after a few years, he realized he couldn't get a guild off the ground there either. The Zhentarim and the Harpers had their fingers in everything already. So he went north. As far north as he could stand, almost to the frozen Spine of the World. There he found Luskan. And here he has decided, will be the heart of his clandestine empire to be. But first, he'll need money and knowledge, and power. And a crew.
Hometown/Origin in Faerun: Bandit camp outside Waterdeep.
Why has your character decided to work with those out of Luskan: He seeks to eventually build a criminal empire and has decided thst Luskan is a suitable place to start.
What is your character's over-arching goal: To become the greatest thieves-guild master in Faerun.

Race: Forest Gnome

Description: Erle stands 3'1", weighs 45 pounds, and has brown hair, tan skin, and black eyes. He looks and dresses the way he thinks his potential customers will think a successful wizard should look, always carrying a staff, wearing clothes that are slightly more expensive than necessary under a hooded robe, keeping his mustache and beard long and pointy, and keeping his owl familiar on his shoulder as an advertisement.

Personality:
Traits: I've read every book in the world's great libraries - or I like to boast that I have.
There's nothing I like more than a good mystery.
Ideals: Knowledge - The path to power and self-improvement is through knowledge.
Bonds: My life's work is a series of tomes related to a specific field of lore.
Flaws: Most people scream and run when they see a demon, I stop and take notes on its anatomy.

Backstory/History/Hometown/Origin: Erle Coaltimber was born in Underroot, a gnomish village in the northern Neverwinter Wood. His family made a fair living supplying the stoves and forges of Luskan with charcoal, and only a few years of learning the trade convinced him that he'd rather die than spend the next several hundred years tending charcoal kilns.

With financial backing from his great-uncle, the black sheep of the family and the only gnome he knew who had ever made it out of Underroot, he traveled to Neverwinter and apprenticed in wizardry. The scholarly life suited him, with every new fact he learned making him more curious about the deeper nature of the world. Perhaps due to a life spent at the kilns, he also showed an instinctive talent for setting things on fire and causing explosions.

The years of study flew by and soon enough he was evicted from the libraries by graduation and faced with the task of supporting himself. He returned to Luskan, close enough to his family to pop in for free meals but far enough away to not actually have to spend much time with them. His wizardly pursuits quickly turned out to be a very expensive habit, forcing him to turn to a life of adventure-for-hire.

 


Why he's working in Luskan: As a relatively newly accredited wizard, he's constantly broke and willing to risk a lot for the prospect of income.

Overarching Goal: To gain knowledge and satisfy his curiosity. In particular, he's interested in the ruins of old Illusk and the Host Tower of the Arcane, and remnants of the Arcane Brotherhood.

Deadline for new applications is 3/31 @ 10pm CST. I'll be reviewing applications that are up now and complete from now until then. Any new ones before the deadline, I'll review as they come in or after the deadline.
I'll most likely be taking 7 at a minimum - 2 for this game and 5 (maybe 6) for a new group to go out and do things for those in power in Luskan.

Description of Appearance
Thin for the region he now finds himself in, Jiang is of average height for a human male, albeit a little on the thin side, which isn't uncommon for his people. His bronze-hued complexion sets him apart from most, while his shortly cropped dark hair stands in stark contrast to his unnaturally pale eyes. Dressed in simple clothing and carrying a simple satchel, Jiang is almost found leaning against his trusty staff, as if he's constantly a little winded, even if those that know him know that's the furthest from the truth. When necessary, he wears a mask indicative of his order; one that strikes terror in those that cross him.

Trait 1: Having grown to survive, Jiang always keeps a solid surface at his back so he can see any potential threats coming.

Why has your character decided to work with those out of Luskan?
What better place is there for one that believes wholeheartedly in the belief of Survival than Luskan? Jiang has been living in the city for a couple of years and has found it to be a place befitting one like him that expects those to be responsible for themselves. Still, he knows there is both a need for money and a need for clout amongst those that run the city, either from atop its throne or from within the shadows where the real decisions are made. The only way to fill one's belly is to do what work is available, and Jiang isn't bothered by doing whatever is necessary to make sure he wakes up the next morning and isn't under the boot of another.

What is your character's overarching goal?
Jiang is admittedly a little aimless. He doesn't have a desire to find purpose but knows that he must find a place within the world if he desires to survive it. Luskan provides opportunities, mostly a freedom, to act as one wishes without concern for what others might deem 'worthy' or 'honorable'. While greed may be sinful and lead to what most would consider illegal acts, Jiang understands that to steal, to kill is necessary for survival. With his survival being paramount, being a lone entity in a city like Luskan will not last him long, and so he wishes to find himself a place within its groups, specifically one that's to his liking and shares similar values.

Alright.
I'm starting my deep dive into apps.
Hope you make the cut.
I can say that as I have no idea whom I'm choosing. I'm of the mindset in choosing players in that I clear my mind, thinking about the feel of the adventure, where the group is operating out of, some type of team cohesion, and dive in looking for well thought out characters that speak to me of creativity, originality, connection to Forgotten Realms, and a bit of depth.
If you read this, and want to add anything else to your app, reply saying as much when you've made any changes, and I'll go back in and look again if I've already looked over yours once.
Yes, still taking Apps through tomorrow 10 pm CST.
