Hey everyone, just dropping by to check out the setup this year.

I read the list of ingredients and one jumped into my brain for a TPK starting scenario. I am weighing up whether I can commit to this through til December as battling with properly directing my reserve energies is already uphill. / days til the deadline ... I'll consult with my pillow!

Hi jbear - Nice to see you hear this year!!

That's a valid concern - time commitments are sometimes hard to balance for sure. To help folks with a similar situation, made a few changes this year to help folks give this a try.

* We've dramatically lowered the word count for the opening rounds.
* There is more time to make and edit a post.
* There is a week (at one point longer) large between posts
* You if you need to due to , you can get a bye in round if something comes up in RL and not have to withdraw from the tournament.

Anyway, I hope some of that helps. And, that you get some quality time with tha pillow!

I don't know if I'll have time available for Rounds 1 & 2, but I have to give it a shot!

Would an empowered judge mind double checking the word count of my first draft? It should be, at most, 499.

Congrats - and looks like 498 to me. Most of the judges won't be able to see submissions until the deadline passes. No worries though... looks like you had two words to spare

According to that site, your entry is 498 words--so within the limit!

Wow... seems like a bit of trouble but, I think you're within the spirit of the rules. I'll poll the other judges but we're not going to be look so close to notice a pixel spacer.

You say that like it's a good thing...

Really though...why use 732 words, when 496 words do the job just as well (hopefully)?
