Wow... thank you all for the AWESOME response. We have several houses accepted already and we are just on day 2.

If you have been marked ACCEPTED, copy your application in The Lists. We'll use this get started on House Creation (I'm working on that now) when it goes live.

Sothoryos is the last place we've seen dragon-like creatures like Wyvern and drakes. This can be part of the Family Lore but we don't have access these creatures in the Southlands. * You'll need to drop these from your descriptions for current state of the house.

If you invest heavily in "Fleet" when it comes time, a minor house will have 12 ships max. * You'll need to scale back your description of the houses influence... of course you can state it as a goal (which will come up later) for the house.

I love style for your banner, but...
* we'll need a clean version of your shield/sigil... or if you describe it, I'll help you produce one suitable for use in the game. See the other examples that I've posted in the 'accepted' status area in the OP.

*You haven't listed your Overlord.

Region: Riverlands Seat: Saltpans Castle, town, and harbour Overlords: House Tully of Riverrun (previously House Darry of Darry) Titles: Knight of Saltpans History of House Cox House Cox built their reputation on being dependable soldiers, sailors and officers, with their members serving faithfully in one capacity or another in every major war for hundreds of years. One of the most distinguished Cox’s actually served as an admiral of the Riverlands navy before the coming of the dragons. A seldom talked about aspect of the family is that a fair number actually made their money through piracy or privateering, although if asked they are quick to point out that those were different, more difficult times. Ser Quincy, the current head of the House, trained as a knight, and although he learned the lessons of war well, his disposition was ill-suited for battle. During Robert’s Rebellion, when his overlord, Ser Willem Darry called House Cox to fight, they failed to turn up for battle. When Robert Baratheon emerged victorious, this perceived tacit support won House Cox some extra land and a small promotion so that they counted House Tully as their direct liege, rather than House Darry. The fortunes of the House seemed to be on the rise, and the town of Saltpans was growing with investment of the coin generated by the new assets. Unfortunately, with Robert’s death and the subsequent chaos, the newfound wealth of the area proved a tempting target for wandering bands, and it was sacked repeatedly. Ser Quincy responded to these attacks by locking himself and his family in the castle and waiting for the attackers to leave, a decision which may have saved their lives, but cost him much respect. The town of Saltpans was burned to the ground and its inhabitants all killed, captured, or fled. This has left the House in a precarious position. Two of Ser Quincy's three sons have been killed in battle, and the third, Rickard, is missing. This means that the best hope for the future of the House lies on the young shoulders of Brennett and Lyle, the sons of the deceased Ser Joran, neither of which has yet reached ten summers. Ser Quincy has already begun the task of rebuilding the town, but he is finding it ever more difficult to tempt people to settle in Saltpans because they fear that they will not be safe under the dubious protection of House Cox. Members of House Cox Ser Quincy Cox (66) - An able general and administrator, but a poor soldier himself, Ser Quincy prefers to delegate whenever possible. Jeyne Cox née Waxley (66) - the wife and best friend of Ser Quincy, Jeyne has been by his side through good times and bad, and is very much the glue holding the family together. She sends ravens daily to keep informed of the goings-on of her family, but has taken the recent deaths of two of her sons, and the disappearance of the third, badly and her health is deteriorating. Dannell Cox (32) - married to Ser Willis Wode, she runs his household and takes care of her family, much as her mother has done. Following the burning of the halls of House Wode she once again resides in Saltpans, just until her husband can arrange for the halls to be rebuilt. Ser Joran Cox (deceased) - a knight of great repute, Ser Joran was a bannerman fighting with House Tully. He served with great distinction up until he was killed defending his brother, Lennocks, during the Red Wedding. He was married to Roberta Worle and had three children, Brennett, Hara, and Lyle. Lily Cox (29) - the wife of Ser Humfrey Swyft, an able knight who rides with the Lannisters. Lily keeps her correspondence with her mother quiet since most of her family are considered enemies, although for a brief spell, when Rickard had sworn allegiance to first Joffrey and then Tommen, she had been able to relax a little. Rickard Cox (27) - As a captain of the Royal Fleet he sided with Stannis Baratheon during the War of the Five Kings and was lucky to survive the assault on King’s Landing, but his ship was lost and he was captured by Joffrey’s forces. Along with Aurane Waters, he was pardoned and given command of one of the ten new drommonds, the Queen Margaery. His location is currently unknown as he fled with Aurane and the fleet after Cersei was imprisoned. Lennocks Cox (deceased) - as a child, Lennocks idolised his eldest brother, Joran, and would follow him everywhere. This phase never really ended, and Lennocks entered into knighthood as a squire for one of Joran's friends. He was proud to serve with his brother under the Tullys right up until the Freys and Boltons betrayed and murdered them. Maester Ebrose - originally from Cider Crossing in The Reach, Ebrose was sent to the Citadel when he showed an aptitude for figuring out how things worked. He threw himself into his studies eagerly, and was always a good student. When he was selected to be Maester for House Cox he was reportedly very angry, and enquired whether it was meant as a punishment for some indiscretion on his part, but was informed that it was simply decided by lots. He has come to like the people of Castle Saltpans, although he always has one eye on opportunities to move upwards. Jaime Woodworth - although never knighted, Jaime has served as a soldier since he was little more than a boy. He serves as the Captain of the Guards for the castle and trains his men diligently.

House Terengath Terengath - “Night has fallen” Sigil: Gules Sable Dancy, Lion passant Honour point, Argent Gorget navel point Region: North Westeros Grey Cliffs Seat: Tezzra’s Talon Overlords: House Karstark

History of House Terengath The journey to Terengath would be drastically different depending on the direction in which one approached. From any direction, the first sight will have been Tezzra’s Talon, a four story black stone tower that lists perilously as it rises out of a squat two floor keep. The rusted iron double door entrance to the Talon is approachable only over an overgrown earthen causeway that seems perpetually only moments from collapse. The causeway ends in a splintered wooden drawbridge that spans a deep mire filled square moat. Terengath sits south of Karhold, near the gaping entrance to the Shivering Sea. It is a stagnant swamp land that reaches north towards the seat of House Karstark. The land of the Terengath teems with mangrove islands and is intersected by swamp grass filled passageways. After an earthquake that adjusted the flow of the nearby river, Terengath has been crushed by the grip of the swamp. The old fishing and trading way of life has been strangled and the people try to adjust to their new reality. Life in Terengath is cut-throat as civil niceties have dissolved in the desperate struggle to survive. The fishing that once greased the local economy has dried up... the swamp destroying the old ecosystem. Those that could escape and start anew elsewhere have already done so. Those that remain are the unlucky or the devious who hoped to profit from other's misfortune.

Members of House Terengath Lord: Roem Terangath: Recently returned eldest son of the deceased Dongrad Terengath, Lord of Tezzra's Talon. A proverbial black sheep of the family, Roem has returned only to find the poor situation the house has found itself in. Having fought in the Battle of the Whispering Wood, Roem rode to battle with Lord Rickard Karstark and his sons Harrion, Eddard, and Torrhen, only to see the sons, Eddard and Torrhen fall. Roem was captured along with Harrion, but he was able to escape. Steward: Albrier De Montique: A balding heavy set man who in Terangath’s absence has become all to familiar with the trappings of power. His leadership of the city has been ineffective and even though this is widely known, he bristles at the notion. He believes he did everything he could given the situation, but that did not amount to much. He resents Roem’s return. Marshal: Brandon Strike: Large of stature and quiet in nature, Brandon served the Terangaths with distinction before the Tremors and has stayed on in service, reluctantly under Albrier. He bristled under the foppish steward and with the return of Roem, his humor has barely improved. He sees the druid as disrespectful and a disgrace to his family name. Head Cook: Monte Bekinburg: This rotund man lives for food… that which he makes for others and that which he consumes himself. The last few years have been difficult as it had been hard to get his hands on the varied ingredients he desires. That combined with Albrier’s weak stomach have led to him becoming increasingly surly and despondent. He is initially excited for Roem’s return but this will not last.
