Let's just ignore the change to divine, and use the mesmerist spell list.
Yes, Standard is 0 RP, for 4 RP you can use Advanced instead.
Spell Resistance fits creatures with fey and astral origins nicely.

If you'd like culprits, real vampires are still a problem, and Wavegate is not walled, so a nocturnal incursion is reasonable. Also, the Norden do have coastal raiders.
If you'd prefer non-personal reasons, a savage storm and structural damage, or a plague would be the most likely.

What gods are there in the setting? (thinking a Faith discipline psychic). And are you allowing psi-tech? (I'm going to assume no, since you don't have gunslingers)

Edit: Actually, I think I'll go Abomination discipline with psychic marauder archetype.

Never done Occult. The Kineticist class looks really interesting but also so many rules and abilities. How overwhelming is it to play. Thinking instead of slayer so more into the occult part of game.

Flexible Bonus Feat (4RP)
And are Skilled (4RP)

Only the mesmerist list? Could we say only one spell from the other two lists per level?

I think it would be in keeping with her newly found fey heritage to be able to heal (CLW) a creature. As there are already arcane versions of the spell it would be easily replaced by astral energies as opposed to divine or arcane.

It's a far cry from the early days of gaming where it was once male dominated. These days, when I go to a public gaming event, it seems pretty evenly split.

I used to introduce a lot of my girlfriends to gaming 15 years ago when it was a rarity, and they took to it like a duck to water. Now, I am happy modern gaming is more equal.

I know a few couples now who met through these sessions. Dating is hard in this day and age, but is rather easy of you go to public gaming events. Having a common interest helps a lot. Just have fun, play your best, and be open. And maybe put some effort in your appearance a bit.

At least in Toronto. I hope it is the same everywhere else. These women are koala tea.

For the 16 free race points I get as a human (that's twice what they start with! (For a total of thrice their starting points)), I'm thinking Constant Spell-Like Divination (choosing Detect Magic) for sure, but the rest I'm not sure about. That's 13 points to spend, still >< I'm trying to think of things that fit the character I have in mind, but like...that's a lot of points.

Edit: Eep, I forgot they get Linguist. Still, 15 is a lot.
