The All Night Society (VtR 2nd Edition)
For resources, you can draw on the official books for both Vampire the Requiem and for Chronicles of Darkness, as well as the works by None More Dark Publishing. (You do not need to make a character at this point.) If you don't have the books I can help you with the rules and dice pools. The posting rate will be relaxed, probably 2-3 a week. I'm currently working on a who's who for New Orleans Kindred, I hope to get that posted and linked in the next couple of days. The most important thing to know is that the Lancea et Sanctum dominates the politics of the city. Done. Last edited by ShadowcatX; Oct 27th, 2023 at 02:43 PM. |

Public computer expert that works from home
Name Sebastian Roark, eveveryone just calls him Roark. Appearence Roark is slightly built, with a vulpine lilt to his features. Emerald eyes are hidden behind glasses he doesn’t need, but wears to look harmless. His black hair is kept short, and he still moisturises his pale white skin. Fashion is not his strong suit, and he favours cardigans. In short he doesn’t look like a vampire, unless you count Jerry from the original fright night. Personality quiet and studious. Whilst not the most charismatic or good with people, he can usually spot a line of bullcrap that someone is trying to sell him. Sometimes wonders if he’s a bit sociopathic given how he’s adapted to the new normal.

I'm very interested. Since I don't have the books for this version of Vampire am doing some reading over the weekend to look at clans and bloodlines to put some flesh on the bare bones of a character idea I have. While I don't have the books for this version, and will need some help with the mechanics at first, I am very well acquainted with the WoD in general and Vampire in particular. It should be a pretty short learning curve.

That is perfectly fine, I am happy to help. The Appolinaire and Khaibit bloodlines are probably going to be the most common bloodlines but really anything can show.
Unfortunately my laptop quit turning on, posting this was my last action it did. As such the who's who will probably have to wait until Monday when I will try and get it posted from work. |

For some ODD reason, maybe it is fate. I keep coming back to this place. So, I read a little and 1. The sects are history. 2. What happened to the 13 clans? were they just off shoots of the current four or did clans decide to merge because they were 'close enough' in lineage and customs?
Anyway, I'm going to post a character (again) Public: I am a costume artist for Movie sets Name: Ivy Emmerson Appearance: Ivy is in her 30s, with long wavy black hair and brown eyes. She is size proportional and gives off a Charming, sophisticated aura. Measurements: Height 5'6" (167.6 CMs), Weight 88 lbs (39.9 Kgms) Personality: Ivy prefers to be soft-spoken and avoid the center of attention. She has many secrets, very few that she is willing to share whether Kine or Kindred. She is willing to spend time in social scenes to hear of the gossip and drama about the city. It's understandable, I was in Masquerade for decades and didn't immediately like Requiem either, it seemed very limited for clans, bloodlines, and disciplines. That's one of the reasons None More Dark caught my interest.

Speaking of the Khaibit, they don't have Ontenebration in 2nd ed, do they? My bare bones idea is a former cop, now private investigator. In life he became disillusioned with the corrupted government and laws so set out to try to work towards justice as a lone wolf. Probably a Makhet but that isn't set in stone yet.
And alas, sorry to hear about the lap top. That sucks

They do have Obtenbration. It's just a series of Devotions, instead of a Discipline.

I'm not familiar enough with this version to know what means yet. Will try to Google for more info. Thanks for letting me know!

Nothing happened to them. Those sects and clans never existed. Requiem is a separate continuity from Masquerade. Even when two elements share a name in both universes (like the Ventrue), they're not actually related.

Quote:
Requiem and Masquerade are different games, the clans in Requiem are more stereotype vampires, Daeva are the seductive vampires, Ventrue are the lordly vampires, Nosferatu are the scary vampires, etc. As such while the names and inspiration may be the same they aren't connected across game lines beyond simply having similar names and inspirations. There's no Hardestat (or however you spell his name) in Requiem, for example. In Requiem bloodlines really took the place of clans & bloodlines from Masquerade. First edition had tons of bloodlines over its lifespan, but most were not officially ported over into 2nd edition, which is where the 3pp None More Dark stepped up. They converted many bloodlines and brought them into second edition. And many of the bloodlines are based off Masquerade clans / bloodlines. For example, Requiem has the Malkovian bloodline, obviously a throwback to the Malkavian clan. |
