So I got my car back from the shop last week
Died on me on the drive home THAT NIGHT.
Had to have it towed. God damn no one (wrecker service) is open in this dinky town at 10 o' clock at night.
IDK if any of you have done this... But I called local law enforcement for a tow.
After of course googling a couple wrecker services and calling them first.
I started with calling PD.
"Hey I need a tow. Place #1 and #2 failed to answer the phone. Who do you use?"
"Oh... Place #2 didn't answer their phone" I don't try think they really said "we can't help you" but that's the feel I got from what they said. Then they said "call sheriffs.
Called sheriff's. They wouldn't just call a tow. They had to send a deputy...
By the end of that fiasco I did get home till 2 in the morning.
Took the car back to the shop. And now... Finally got a reply on what's wrong.

And when talking to someone who knows enough about cars....
There are a few things about a car's problem when stated aloud prompts an "oof" response or some other form to indicate pain or discomfort even though no physical injury was made...

It's usually the other car that leaves me on the side of the road. It hasn't done that in a while but still it's out of character for this car.

It's a 01 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. They stopped making them in this body style in 01. They kept making the Sebring but changed it's looks. This is my mother's kind of dream car and I was hoping to repair it up to include apolstery and peeling paint but something that severe if I'm keeping it is for sure not getting driven for a long while.

Sell this one: to a Chrysler dealership for parts.
Use the limited cash: to start a payment plan on a pre-owned new-to-you one.

A few parts have been difficult to obtain this is true.
I'm also considering a new new vehicle.
Tired of having car problems all the time.
Want to take a break from having to fix both cars every month.

So I got permanently suspended from Reddit. Apparently I was using the report button in an abusive manner. I received one warning for it and then it was bye bye baby.

Now my first time I did it, I admit I was messing around. If you're familiar with AITA (am I the *******) forum, well the admins shared and stickied a post there that was from the Reddit overlords. I reported that thread as spam because, technically, it violated AITA's rules. I thought the complaint would go to the AITA mods and they'd get a laugh out of it. I was mistaken so that one is on me.

The second and final time though was an actual report. I was engaged in a debate, politely, and the person replied back cussing me. I reported their post and commented on how rude it was and how personal attacks usually come out when the person has no valid points. They then blocked me and I thought it was over. Until I got permanently suspended.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm annoyed by this, I really feel I wasn't in the wrong the second time but there's no appeals process. I think I'm going to go without reddit for a while and see if I miss it.

you won't. All the really good stuff in Reddit is copied over to a dozen other sites for content. Cracked, Bored Panda, etc.. The only function you'll use Reddit for is checking Game rules and questions, and you can still do that without a sign in.

I've only gotten into reddit: in recent years
I like the: RPG Design sub
Other than that: everything feels a little ickier than I'd like

Storytime:

10-ish years ago: I got sucker-punched by a drunk idiot neighbor
he chipped: one of my teeth
which I didn't ever do anything about: because I didn't have insurance
I've gotten insurance since: but I hadn't gone to the dentist even once in that time
(gross: I know)
until recently: when about 25% of the tooth just came off while I was eating
and then: the pain started
I had to have: a root canal
which ate up the entirety of my dental insurance benefits: for the year
this tooth is on: the bottom left

while going through this: the dentist told me I had a considerable cavity
complete opposite: upper right

my plan was: just let it go until next year: when my insurance benefits renew
BUT: the cavity had other ideas
I get Good Friday: off as a holiday
I took a week of vacation: this week

on Friday evening: the miss and I went out to eat
before the appetizers even showed up: that cavitinous tooth started to hurt
I tried to ignore it: but the pain just got worse
to the point that I got: dizzy spells
I grabbed some Anbesol: on the way home
and waited for: the dentists offices to open the next morning

turns out: many dentists offices aren't open on Saturdays
ESPECIALLY: the Saturday before Easter
Eventually I found a place that was: open and had an availability

They recommended an extraction: which they couldn't perform at that time
I had to wait: until Monday afternoon
For the pain: I was given a prescription for Amoxicillin (basic antibiotic) and told to combine Ibuprofen and Tylenol

so the Friday night : Monday afternoon of my vacation
was spent in: pain
and the days since have included: babying the empty molar socket

not the best way: to enjoy a vacation
boo hoo: I know!
