I'm thinking specifically of the Lich Loved Feat (and by extension it's prerequisite, the Evil Brand Feat)
Evil Brand is a no-go since Gith and Vlaakith CLVII would not tolerate one who has become the servant of another, a Demon Lord in this case.

Could I use the Oath of Loyalty as an alternate Prerequisite to Lich Loved? (Which was the only reason I needed Evil Brand)

Kazindulaxryhmar
The Eternal Fire

Sphere Sorcerer, and Sworn Ally to the Gith

Class 1:

Red Dragon (Racial HD)

Class 2:

Sphere Sorcerer (Fire)

Intended Role

Damage, and Support

Alignment

Chaotic Evil~ Although naturally selfish and impulsive red dragons are sworn allies of the Githyanki, and their usual bullheadedness comes to heel when this alliance comes to call. By no means a slave they still act in service to the needs of the Gith, especially in times of Illithid activity.

Personality:

Kazindulaxryhmar is a red dragon to his core, haughty and proud, destructive and cunning, but most of all he was the embodiment of what a red dragon should be. Like all of his kind he hates weakness amongst his kind, or amongst any kind for that matter. His personality acts very much akin to the flames after which he was so named. At times hot and explosive, while others intense, but calm like the seconds before disaster strikes.
Oddly enough Kazindulaxryhmar didnt find himself hating the Gith as much as he thought he would. They made good on their promise of treasure, and power to the young reds that joined in service, and there are even some he has grown to not see as completely less than him. Despite all of this his dislike for the yoke of service is far outweighed by his thirst for power, and acclimation of wealth.

Background:

Life ontop of the food chain is quite the different experience, especially when you have so much of your long lived existence to look forward to. In their young age red dragons are conscripted into service to the Gith, but never without proper compensation. After Elphelemon became the consort to the Lich Queen herself it was promised that young reds would work in alliance, and service to the Gith, and recieve riches and power for their service, thus growing, and strengthening the dragons power. Kazindulaxryhmar is one of these young reds who has decided to put his power to use for the Gith as best he can. At the behest of her majesty herself Kazindulaxryhmar was set to be support a Va'Dok'thra task force that was found by some dragon riders, and that's where we find him now.
Before answering the call he grew up tormenting lesser creatures, and amassing, and hoarding what he could away for the day when he became stronger. When he was decades younger he would stand off against a small group of adventurers who could not best him. The fight was fierce, and went on far longer than the red dragon would have liked to admit, but in the end only one hero was left. Their body burned, and melted in places, charred, and crumbling in others. The screams of agony could be heard for miles, but instead the young red would leave his remaining victim in a state that can only be described as feeling like it "burned for eternity" thus spread his nick name as the "Eternal Flame" amongst his enemies.

Roleplay Sample:

As the sun creeps up over the rocky peaks of a cliff, the early morning rays dance across dull craggy stone before hitting a ruby surface that sends it dancing playfully around to surrounding walls of the dull rock. There as the morning sun began its ascent to the sky a young Red dragon raises its head from a rather unrestful sleep. Warmed by the mornings beams the beast stretches, and looks over the area he had chosen to rest. Around him, littering the ground are the charred remains of a humanoid, and several woodland animals. It wasnt very long after this cast glance that an arrow whizzed by the dragons head and clattered to the ground, then silence.
Kazindulaxryhmar was being hunted, but it wasnt news to him, for the humanoid remains next to his napping spot was indeed one of these hunters. Silence, this time no birds, no bugs, just complete stillness, unnatural stillness. Without a second's more hesitation the dragon jumped into the air, and breathed flame and despair down around the area. For minutes his breath wrecked havoc in the area surrounding him; Plants turned to ash, some stone began to melt, and anything made of flesh was burned irreparably. As he landed he listened, he listened for distinct sounds like the moaning of a creature in pain, or the dragging of a body to safety, but nothing. As he landed and watched the scrubland burn around him he caught sight of one of his pursuers jumping off behind a rock. In than instant he jumped up the rocks, and down onto the fleeing prey. There it tried as it might to get away from the dragon, and to fight it off, and even tried begging. Right up until Kazindulaxryhmar took the mans head of course.
The huge grin and look of satisfaction on his face must have been what set off the last remaining hunter, because after he swallowed the crunchy head parts of his most recent kill an axe wielding brute jumped out from hiding, and began their assault. The muscled creature slashed, and screamed, cutting deep into the dragons hide in places causing him to roar out in pain, and take to their air. His wings flourish open, and with one powerful beat of his wings he pushed himself away from the earth and inhaled as he rose into the sky. With an exhale the beast began the long and excruciating process of punishing this creature foolish enough to try and hunt him.
The man fought through the pain of the initial blast of fiery breath, only sustaining burns on his head and chest, and continued his onslaught to try and fell the dragon. With another beat of his wings Kazindulaxryhmar flew higher still, this time grinning before snapping his fingers together and watching as an eruption of fire rips through the arm holding the axe, dropping the axe wielding appendage to the ground like a discarded toy. The man screams in agony, but he brought this on himself, weak foolish creature that it is. Still too foolish still to be worth finishing off with his claws or teeth. Again he snapped and again an appendage broke free from its host due to a fiery explosion. Every snap the skin on the mans body charring more and more to the point his skin looked like molten rock in some places.
Finally once the man had but one arm left Kazindulaxryhmar stopped his torment and loomed over top of his now wimpering plaything. "You dont get do die rat! You get to live with the consequences of your actions, and you will tell others of your failure to kill the mighty Kazindulaxryhmar.

Oh, question on the CAM adjustment. The Ultimate version of Symbiat changed the references to Intelligence into casting ability modifier for spell pool, but left it as Intelligence for their Monk AC Bonus analogue and daily Psionics use. Do these abilities get changed to CAM as well, or stay as Intelligence?

I looked at Fey Adept and Eliciter and it looks like class abilities all remained keyed to their original stat despite the change to Casting Ability Modifier. I suspect this was intentional and should remain as is.

This makes me think I should tweak my homebrew adjustment to Practitioners so that their Practitioner Modifier only affects Spheres and will not change class abilities. I had not noticed this oddity. Thank you for pointing it out.

Assuming that I can use the Oath of Loyalty as a prerequisite for Lich Loved, I think that Dirk t'Larien is done.

I may need to tweak it a little and add to his items a bit, and add some minion-related stuff.

Oh yes, I got lost in my research on this. Mechanics are not needed until after invites but I don't think the Oath is adequate. It grants a boon which is entirely different. If you can find an undead-themed feat, I might consider it. Maybe something that makes you heal with negative energy or something like that? Any flavourful feat should do.

Tomb-tainted Soul from Libris Mortis dies exactly what you've described.

Pretty sure spheres has several means of doing this too, if you dig for it. For example Shifter has undead kin which lets you heal from both positive and negative energy. Alteration sphere has undead body as well. That said LeoByron's option is a one and done with a single feat.

I'm going to go with the Necromantic Affinity Feat, it seems like the simplest solution.

I have a sheet ready, but I am playing around with the idea of going full Oath of Poverty, all the cash going for the Gith cause.

I've got an idea for a character built using the Sphere Magus and Eldritch Archer archetypes (which would allow Destruction Sphere blasts to be delivered via arrow/bolt/thrown weapon, for example). However, the other side of the gestalt is going to depend on how you would rule regarding the Broad Study magus arcana. Would taking this allow me to use spell combat and spellstrike with sphere talents from the other side of the gestalt. For example, if I were Magus 10 // Incanter 10 with Broad Study, would I be able to use spell combat and spellstrike with abilities acquired via my Incanter levels?
