Yes… yes the Jets are that bad. Poor ownership decisions combined with handing the reigns to Rogers is just one of the reasons (beyond the fact that god obviously hates them) the jets suck so hard. Maybe before he destroyed his achilles last year he could’ve propelled the jets to “mediocre” and maybe even snapped that post season drought. Now he’s a shell of the washed up QB he once was, and that team is going nowhere fast.

If the Texans were healthy I wouldn’t have picked the way I did.

Personally, I just felt like the Jets were due, they've been getting a huge amount of bad press and I figured they be pi$$ed and play harder.
Injuries to the Texan's WR room, and Stroud doesn't play the Jets well, AND, the Jets offense sucks, but not their defense so much, so I gave my nod to to A Rod pulling something off in a low scoring game.

I'm going off feelings and Dirk is doing actual analysis.

Ownership is everything. Success starts at the top. So many examples. The Rooney's in Pittsburgh are the best for long term success. Then there is prime examples when teams change ownership. Kraft in New England, new Ford ownership in Detroit, and they suddenly get serious and have success.

I've settled with the fate that my Dolphins won't know success as long as Ross is the owner, he's awful. He was caught tampering and punished. The Jets are very much in the same boat. That said, I did watch the second half of that game, and it looked like Rogers finally got comfortable, they could go on a run, maybe make the playoffs. But probably lose in the first round. I doubt the Dolphins will do that much this year.

Army is now 8-0 and on a 12 game win streak.
Favored to win next week against North Texas, then we'll find out if they are real against Notre Dame.

Watching Dallas collapse has been so much fun this afternoon. I wonder where mike mccarthy ends up coaching next season.

-edit-

This game could turn into a savage beating real quick. If Dallas doesn’t score on this drive they’re done.

-edit again

What!?! What!?! Oh my sweet god. That touchdown was gross. Well done Dallas.

-edit-

I based my pick on Dak playing. Cooper Rush is a wildcard. Wouldn’t it be funny if he actually pulled off a win down two scores with 9:39 left?

-edit-

Ooof Bills made me stress this week.

Eagles Wooooooooooooooo!

I’m cheering and yelling at my television. Exciting game so far. Finally snapped that scoring in the first quarter streak with an absolutely filthy forced fumble on the Jag’s punt return which set us back up at the 20. Hot damn Barkley is a stud with that TD catch.

-edit-

After last year it’s so nice to see a competent secondary on the field. Dare I say it? I might actually be feeling optimistic about this season.

-edit-

Woooooooooo INT!!!!!

-edit-

Okay, so the Jags are getting beaten like a red headed stepchild. Credit where it’s due though. They’ve stopped the tush push twice tonight. Not many teams can say that.

-edit-

What the everloving faaaaaak. His goddamn knee was down. /sigh

This game is still very winnable.

-edit-

Are the eagles trying to lose this game? Wtf?

-edit-

Like honestly. I’m pacing my living room right now. This game wasn’t supposed to be this close.

-edit-

I was expecting to be paying a cursory amount of attention to this game by now. Instead I’m glued to my television. Please god make this eagles drive successful. Good start Barkley.

-edit-

Wooooooooooooo Smith! Wooooooooooooooo.

-edit-

Woooooo Smith! Wooooooooooo! TD baby.

-edit-

Oh no Jake?!!!!! What happened???

/activate clenched butthole mode.

-edit-

Okay. My heart wasn’t cool with this ending.
