Allura stands at an average stature of about five foot eight inches. Allura's beauty not only stands out from her hair and eyes, but also her lithe hourglass figure, horns fangs and notable leathery wings. Her body tone is nice and firm as she shows some signs of muscle but the muscle tones are mostly hidden by her soft skins beauty. Overall, one could estimate her weighing around 130 lbs. without gear. Backstory: Allura was born under a blood moon, her tiefling heritage evident from the moment she entered the world with horns curling back from her temples, fangs protruding from her mouth, and leathery wings folded against her back. She was raised in the secluded mountains by a group of wise wizards who recognized her innate magical abilities and took it upon themselves to train her in the arcane arts. Despite their initial hesitation at accepting a tiefling into their ranks, they soon discovered that Allura's unique lineage only served to enhance her powers. As she grew older, Allura delved deeper into forbidden knowledge, pushing the boundaries of what was deemed acceptable within magical society. Her thirst for power led her to explore ancient ruins and study long-forgotten texts, often at great risk to herself. However, each new discovery only fueled her desire for more, driving a wedge between herself and those who had once nurtured her talents. Now standing on the precipice of greatness or destruction, Allura must choose whether to embrace the darkness within or seek redemption for past transgressions before it's too late. Personality/Qualities: Allura is somewhat chaotic in nature, she enjoys the beautiful things life has to offer and tends to be whimsical at times. When she was younger, she enjoyed learning new things or discovering the unknown. Allura has spent the last 5 years practicing and honing her magic techniques. Allura enjoys singing, dancing, sampling spicy foods and wine. Because of this, she loves festivals and always seeks a way to attend them. She would even go to the lengths of disguising herself if needed just to attend them and if not for her discernible features, she may have gotten away with it. Short RP Example: Allura heard the man cry for help and saw the dire situation. To her it looked as if the strange creature was controlling the person and making him call for help in attempts to lure her into a trap. She contemplated attempting to cast a spell of protection on the man, but that would require concentration allowing the creature an opportunity to take over her mind. Without another to aid her, she couldn't take that risk. Not knowing what the creature was or the extent of its abilities, she wasn't about to just blindly attack and decided not to risk falling victim by running away as fast as she could to go get help before its too late.

Oh, I was interested, for the record. I've played under Togot before and I know he's good fun, plus I love XCom so the image was a draw. I mulled it over for a few hours but ultimately didn't apply because I didn't feel like I had a worthy story to contribute to it.

Application Name: Cassius Race: Shadar-Kai Class: Circle of Blight Druid Background: Guard Personality traits 2: I am utterly serene, even in the face of disaster. I connect everything that happens to me to a grand, cosmic plan. Ideal: Logic. Emotions must not cloud our sense of what is right and true, or our logical thinking. (Lawful) Bond: I'm still seeking the enlightenment I pursued in my seclusion, and it still eludes me. Flaw: I harbor dark, bloodthirsty thoughts that my isolation and meditation failed to quell. Backstory: Cassius had been a guardian of a small wood; nothing so big that he couldn't handle it by himself, but he did hope to convince one of the local villagers to take an interest in becoming druids themselves, or becoming more active in the environment's upkeep. One day, as he was raking leaves at the woods' edge in preparation for a controlled burn, something abnormal passed by overhead as it leaked green fire. Assuming it was a wounded dragon, he ran after it and felt some unexpected side effects. Since then, Cassius believes that this was meant to be a gift from Nature; a new tool to be used against the invaders. A tool from this addition to the natural order.

RP Sample   No, no, no, no! Cassius leapt over a fallen log, tracing the creature's path as it fell behind the leaves of the forest canopy. He counted to himself until he heard, felt, a mighty crash through the earth. Animals scattered as all within became awash with green light and a kind of heat. The closer Cassius got to the crash site, the worse he felt. It started with dizziness. It was all he could do to keep a grip before he fell to his knees. Blood and vomit erupted from his mouth. A noise brought his head up to see the intruders, the harsh syllables of a strange language. He thought he heard them, or did he think he had? Either way, it had been no dragon. He could see from there that this was some kind of... demon craft. A clutch of demons ran toward him. There was nothing to do but defend himself and his forest. The land was slow to respond, but it did answer his call as the earth shook beneath them, and barbed vines drug them to the forest floor. That was the last full memory he had before he lost consciousness. With agonizing slowness, Cassius got back to his feet. The sun was younger in the sky than it had been. Was it the next day, or another? How long had it been? The demons were bound along the length of their bodies with sharper vines than he'd ever seen. He drew his sickle across their throats to finish them and continued on, following a plume of acrid smoke until he found the demons' craft. It looked like ruined metal... barrels? Ringed by green fire, they were a twist of strange metals and unholy sludge and glowing crystals. Something of the earth, at least. He beat at a formation of glowing crystal with his sickle until it broke off in his hand, and he set off to do the bravest, or most foolhardy, thing he'd ever done. He sat amidst the ashes and meditated with the crystal. By the time he had finished, he came to realize that this was indeed a part of nature; twisted by the demons, true, but from nature nonetheless. Cassius had a new mission now, a new purpose from the Oakfather. He would study this new facet of the natural order, find strength amongst the weakness, for indeed he had been weakened. Twisted. He would find his center, incorporate this... blight into himself, and grow once more. He would help guide the land to adapt. And he would thank the demons for the new insight they had brought, even as he burned them with it. A new balance was needed. He'd barely brought himself up to stand before he noticed another plume of smoke upon the breeze. More demons, these in the direction of the village. Movement eventually became easier as Cassius made his way to the village. More barrels. More death. People and animals lay strewn about the town square. And somehow, a single man stood in an awkard pose, with glowing eyes. It didn't take much to see the demon hiding deeper in the alley. Cassius knocked the human puppet off its feet to stride forward and grab the demon by its throat. "Where are the others like you? Your army?" His voice sounded... hollow somehow, but that was hardly a concern. Placing the sickle on the edge of its throat, "You will speak now, or not again."
