the forest. Always loved it. Hiking thru the woods, the scenery, the lakes, mountains. Just feel at peace. As a kid, every summer, we went to the Adirondacks. It's in northern NY, a beautiful place. Well, most of it, small part of it goes into Vermont as well. Not many know this, but you can take the Grand Canyon, Yosemite Park, and Yellowstone park, put them together and they fit into the Adirondacks. Plus, NY is the 2nd state next to AK that has the most trees.

I live in the middle of nowhere Indiana where the weather is neutral, the landscape is best described as average, and there are no historical landmarks to be spoken of.
MY favorite biome would have to be the desert, though. It feels so unique, and somehow, animals still find a way to survive someplace with nearly no yearly rainfall. |

Sounds like Montana drove to butte from Washington. Nothing in sight but rolling roads. Loved having an 80mph speed sign though.

I tend to stick to back roads. Anything above 50mph is too fast for me.

My favored environment is the outdoors. Trees, rivers, lakes. Not so much hot dessert and not so much the coastal rain storms variety.

I like the desert conceptually, but in-person, I dislike the outdoors in just about every form it takes. I've got sinuses and allergies, so the outdoors doesn't exactly play nice with my senses. |

My favorite environment has to be...poolside at a hotel. Climate co trolled, waiters getting you drinks and snacks, and no bugs. Of course, I can't afford that. But that's where I'd like to be.

Back in 1996, I drove from Syracuse, NY to Vancouver, WA. Left Friday afternoon and arrived on Wednesday noon. Used to speed limits up to 70, then while driving in parts of Wyoming, I was on the right lane and on the left, vehicles and semis were rushing pass me, the semis were a bit scary to see go by. Then I saw the speed Limit, 85! I said "Hell, I like this." But after awhile, seeing more semis go by and speed limit was 90, I said ok, maybe it's not so much fun. My friend that was with me was scared.

I agree, I pulled along aside a truck in right lane at the light. At green light, I was making the turn and the truck was making the turn with me. Thought for sure I was gonna get hit, so I push the gas. Never knew he was going to turn, never saw any signal light. Another time, I was on the interstate and some idiot pulled out right in the front of the truck and the truck swerved. Well, the truck sped up and went into next land and got so close to the idiot that he had no choice but to swerve off the road. Never piss a trucker off.
