The Legend of Exile
The story is told, that long ago there was a powerful wizard. His name has been lost through the ages, but his actions never forgotten. People say that his purpose in life was to gain power. Power that surpassed even the gods. He chased after rumors, artifacts, all forms of magic in an eternal effort to gain power for himself. Many even say he found it in the area that is now Exile Island. Some say he discovered a portal to the house of the gods, or that he uncovered a library of infinite knowledge. What happened from there is unclear, and it is a matter of debate throughout Ahrion. Some say he attempted to enslave the world, others say he tried to destroy it, and still others say he was provoked, but one thing is certain. The mark he left on the world will never be forgotten. In his rage he destroyed most of the western coast of Ahrion, and formed Exile island in the process. By the time the legion contained his fury he had destroyed 3 hole cities, killing hundreds, or even thousands of people. In the end he was imprisoned on Exile, though how he was captured, and contained is unknown to this day. Last edited by IW2RP; Feb 2nd, 2013 at 09:04 PM. |

The Dankil Family
Once the Dankils were a good family, harbingers of joy. This was true until Barren Dankil took over. With the help of his brothers Arimil and Craven, he turned the family stronghold into a base for all things "evil". They used their power to conduct raids on their own lands, and the settlements of others. His family would capture the citizens of each town they destroyed, sell the women, young and old, enslave the men, and torture the useless. Many (and indeed most) of their crimes were for no profit, and only for thrill, but there are still those that made them rich. They continued their tyranny for 11 full years. Even the richest of people can only grease so many palms though. Eventually word reached the Ahrionian Legion and they saw who was to blame for the horrors that they had long been attributing to beasts and monsters of legend. They mounted a full assault on the Dankil stronghold. The Legion did not, however, realize that the Dankils and their armies of mercenaries were hardened by a decade of causing pain. The siege lasted 3 months and took the lives of 152 Ahrionian soldiers, and 42 members of the "Dankil Legion" as it is commonly referred to. When the doors to the keep were finally broken, it is rumored that Barren gave no fight, and submitted himself to Exile willingly. The same is not true for his brothers though. Craven was nowhere to be found, and even the finest manacles, could not hold Arimil... These are of course just rumors.... Last edited by IW2RP; Feb 2nd, 2013 at 09:08 PM. |

Going to just post a random fact about Ahrion. Sort of like the loading screens in Skyrim I guess.
Legend has it that Stillwatch started off as a camp for those hoping to find family members who died when the western coast of Ahrion was destroyed. The camp was formed a few hours from the sea so that people would not be constantly reminded of their losses, but could still go watch for loved ones. They are still watching. Get it? You have heard people on the streets talking of witchcraft around the town of Monanset. Rumor has it that many of the citizens have been acting strange, but then again they could just be strange.
