Everybody should make a new thread for their character (do you all have permission for that here?). It should have all the information and background from your application, and also a link to the character sheet. Your character should be level 1, with max HP for your class and 15 point-buy. Any questions regarding character creation can be asked and discussed here.

Also any rolls pertaining to character creation should take place here, such as starting gold and HP when you level up, all that business.

Question: Is there a Common language, and then a unique language for each country/region? Would characters start with their country/regional language and Common + whatever else they start with?

Yes I think for the sake of simplicity there is a Common language, in this region termed Ederran. And then if a character's backstory would justify a second language from another region that is very reasonable.
