I'm not very intimidating,Kelvin does a wave emphasizing his halfling stature but if you need some chemical encouragement to get him to talk let me know.

"I'll get him to talk," said Roc. "If you like, I can get him to cry, too. Just point me to his door, and I'll take care of the rest."

***Cole Genisis***
"Phineus is right, showing up looking for Yot would be a little more than suspicious, and we don't need to alert anyone, especially if the Emeralds were behind this." he said just before downing another beer. "Personally I don't think we actually need to send in more than two of us to talk to Yot, sure the whole lot of us would like to go, but that doesn't make it necessary, and in truth it might only damage our chances."

Two should do. How do we want to play this? Dawn asks, a bit of the old mischief lighting her eyes. The sly way, she nods at Kelvin and Kai, or the "Roc and Dawn" method? she adds a poke at Roc's bicep for good measure.

Roc flinched at Dawn's prodding. "Easy there, girl," he said, rubbing his arm tenderly. "These old bones aren't what they used to be." He shrugged, however, and seemed to enjoy Dawn's attention after all the time that had passed. "My vote is with Dawn, as ever. We have some catching up to do, and an interrogation scene would be an excellent venue for it. But we could just as easily connect over some light dinner."

Cole, how much could you glean with a Detect Thoughts extract and a Truthtelling potion? Kelvin holds up a vial of greenish liquid and a potion bottle. I'll let you decide the how and whom he meets.

"Er, not to sound too out of character," said Roc, "but I believe that Sharn has some fairly strict laws about mind control. I should know; I've broken them myself. But if we're trying to direct attention away from ourselves, we may want to play this one by the book, so to speak."

Barrett sighs, You're welcome to split up and do stuff if you want, but this is the only thing we need taken care of before we leave. You, know, that and getting transportation lined out for tomorrow. There was a time when I'd say, find out when he's going to be away from home, and then, be at this house waiting for him in the dark, but if you guys don't think that's the best method, fine by me. Either way, make a decision, and if it's to split up, then the rest of you can take care of the transportation to Karrnath.

"Karrnath? Why are we going there?" comes a familiar voice, and Andreal walks up to the table. "Terribly sorry about my tardiness... I overslept." He gives a rare smile as he looks around the table, then takes a seat. The years have added some to his gut. The cost of this has been some light thinning of the hair, but beyond this and a few more lines in his face, he looks much as he always did.

Well, Andreal, glad you could join us. I was beginning to wonder if we'd have your fire power or not...if you'd forgotten about us. Barrett pours the sorcerer a glass of wine. Your favorite, old friend. Now, why are we going to Karnnath you ask? Our friends in the Tainted Joy adventuring group may have gotten in over their heads. They've gone looking for the one that got away. They were originally sent from here to Karrnath on the words of a Bugbear named Yot. They connected with Yot here in Sharn. The rest of the crew was debating on the best way to have a conversation with Yot. We leave for Karrnath tomorrow afternoon.

Taking another sip of wine, Barrett says, You know, we're probably all getting a bit rusty here, but we don't need to forget that the Tainted Joy had an HQ here in Sharn. We might benefit from checking out those Headquarters as well. What do you guys think?

Kelvin smiles at Andreal,You wouldn't have to stay up so late if you didn't assign your students so many papers. I prefer practical exams; they give me less paperwork to take home. He turns to the others, I think Roc, Dawn, Andreal should question Yot. Cole, Phineas, and I will check out the Joy's base while Barrett arranges passage to Karrnath. And here, He passes an extract vial* to Dawn, this will let you hear his surface thoughts in case he tries to lie to you. It will also let you understand any languages you don't know. The bugger probably thinks in Goblin. Does that work for everyone?
*Extract Infusion- Combo Detect Thoughts/Comprehend Languages (DT: Will 19 concentration up to 10 minutes, CL lasts 1 hour & 40 minutes)

Ooh. Kelvin always has the best toys, Dawn says, accepting the vial and looking through the glass. She's back to bouncing on the balls of her feet near the table, rather than sitting at it. Well, I hardly need to say I'm for action. Especially after 27 hours on that train. Shall we, gentlemen?

Barrett grins, Sounds like a plan. Perfect, and I'll meet you all here in the morning. The Joy kept a small base near the Drunken Dragon in Upper Dura--you know, near the Clifftop Adventurers Guild. They were members there as well for what it's worth. As for Yot, he usually can be found at this hour gracing The Bloody Mug--a tavern in Lower Tavick's Landing--the Middle Section, just a level above us. After that, he usually stumbles toward the Deneith Enclave in Upper Tavick's. He's probably at the Mug for another few of hours before he'll be useless to us. It's dinner time now, so you'd better head out. Like I said, see you here in the morning. With that Barrett stands and nods at you, then walks out the front door, but not before tossing a few coin at the barkeep.
