Ok RD I'll see what changes if any I want to make now and then I will work with you as we go forward to work the PRC or retrain any feats as needed.

EDIT: DM's - I was wondering what the posibilty of developing an item like monk straps/wraps (ie. Ki Straps from the MIC in 3.5, or monk wraps from NWN or DDO) would be. These would be cloth strips that wrap around a monk's fists. They can be enchancted like a weapon (+1 - +5, and or select item enhancements that make sense) and apply to the monk's unarmed attacks.. For game balance they would need to be purchased either as a single item and only applied to one fist or buy two (paying for both to be enchanted like a double weapon or two seperate weapons for a two weapon fighter) and then applied to each fist. They would take up the "Hands" slot on the body.

If this is possible then I will definately drop the guisarme from Father Finn and pursue the unarmed fighting approach which would definately work better with the whole Role play idea of the "Dance of Joy" or "Battle Dance" that clerics of Lliira are trained in and especially the Crimson Mummers with which Father Finn traveled, and trained, for a time.

This is absolutely possible... something akin to gauntlets. In fact, I believe that gauntlets serve that purpose in the core rules, I may be wrong. Anyways, feel free to use the monk wraps.

Core rules kinda screw monks by not letting them use gauntlets and having the Amulet of Mighty Fists be way more expensive than someone enchanting an ordinary weapon. Monk wraps are a good idea, I think I'm gonna steal them for all of my future games.

Cool Cool thanks RD Ok I will work with the rules for gauntlets (in other words apply any rules that go with using gaunlets for unarmed strikes) for this but make them cloth monk wraps instead of metal gloves.

Ok I think we are supposed to be discussing things we want and people we definately want to bring with us. We have 5000gp in the group kitty (though this is not our building money).

Items Proposed:
1. Field Provision Box: 2,000gp Produces a full day sustenance for up to 15 humans or five horses

2. Wand of Cure ______ Wounds: 750gp (Light) - 11,250gp (Serious); Maybe even a supply of Cure light wound wands for some healing backup


Proposed Henchmen:
1. Edith O'Neil: Head Cook (wife to Robert O'Neil)

2. Robert O'Neil: Sergeant of the Guard (husband to Edith O'Neil)


Ok that's just to get us started. Other ideas?

GleefulNihilism is one name that comes to mind... he was always a consistent poster and an excellent roleplayer.

We can always look at it if the lack of a meatshield becomes an issue later in the game.

I don't know how you feel about this, but I was also thinking that if you want to create this game and setting for the longhaul, you could always have one or the other player come in at a later moment, either permanent, or as a onetime special adventure, or as a recurring helper. The good part about this is that probably, it would make the game run a lot faster and more consistent if and when you want to deal with the castlebuilding stuff.
