He points to the blacksmiths shop next door, and then to the tavern across the street that you came from. "There's the smithy and there's the tavern. If your looking for anything else look in a different town, you might say this is our market district." |

Jamuss gave a nod of acknowledgement but not much else to the old man. He looked to see if any of his fellow "Exilers" were within earshot of him, and then noted whether or not they went into the place called Hendrick's.
Once he wasn't being minded, the orc blood went about digging out straps and using his strength, and one of his spear heads, to pry loose his crate, to turn in it into more carryable planks. That one, might not wish to sleep on the actual ground. The others, might need weapons, or we can make simple traps with all this. Last edited by zevonian; Sep 30th, 2012 at 01:09 AM. |

The old man walks through the door behind you and begins to point to bottles on the walls and tables. "There are your health potions. They range from 50 gold, they'll cure any minor wounds you get. If you want something stronger I'll have to dig it out of the back and it will cost you. That little bottle over there will make you as strong as a bull, for 300 gold. If you want to spend 750 gold I can even make you breath under water."

Nicholas pauses to consider the man's offer. Taking a quick sum in his head, he turns to speak with the apprentice: "What say ye? I can't speak for you, but I've only a scraping of gold to mine own name. As for our group's funds, we shouldn't stretch them too far. I reckon three or four of those cheaper healing potions, then let's see about tents, rations, and perhaps a donkey to help carry them. We'll have enough of a trek as is, we don't need to go exhausting ourselves hauling our campsite around."

Zalmoxis thought it over quickly. "I don't have much myself. But if Yvette spoke true we may well be needing some of these brews. And a tent would be a blessing in this weather."

Khryssa came to a halt for a moment and bowed: "A donkey would be good, we should not be burdened, it prevents the full flow. Let the beast carry while we weave freely"

"Check the stables just outside town for the donkey and all that. As for the tent and things like that just ask around outside, a few merchants from out of town should be setting up stalls outside soon enough. So you'll take four cheap health potions then? That will come to 200gp." He grabs up four potions and walks behind the counter. He lays a sack of gold down on a stool next him for change and looks back up.

Zalmoxis
Zalmoxis eyed the odd girl. "Ma'am, I believe you have the funds? I'll go see about the tent and some food for the road. You two do wish for a tent, yes?" Their answers received, Zalmoxis nods ducks out.
Stepping into the morning light, he looks around for the merchants Hendricks speaks of. A tent or two, some rations, ... he busied himself composing a list. First things first--he'd have to ask the half-orc about a tent. Zalmoxis headed over to speak to the brute, swallowing nervously and trying not to be intimidated by his behavior the day before. "Excuse me, friend. I'm afraid I haven't introduced myself yet. Affairs have been ... overwhelming for the last few days. My name is Zalmoxis; What can I call you? While we gather supplies for the road, would you wish a tent to sleep in? The weather is miserable in these parts."

Jamuss had his crate finished, in terms of breaking and carrying, when he spotted one of the other Exiled walking towards him. It was a smaller fellow, one who he couldn't recall being very talkative the day before, but now had words aplenty. "Some would call me Jamuss. With me are Larstus, Britt, Tuska, and Alcon." As he spoke, he made fists with his barb gloved hands, thumbed back to his oversized quiver, glanced down at his leathers, and then tapped the hilt of his unusual sword, in that order.
"You would buy tents for all? Not all should sleep at same time. Need watchmen all hours for wolves and bandits. Tents can be shared. But if you are one who likes to buy things, then remember pots are good for collecting rain water, knives have many uses, and the girl might want new clothes." He motioned to his woodworking. "Crate lid broke in half makes for good boards to sleep on, and cover for lean-to shelter making. Crate make good posts for lean-to shelter, firewood, and spears to hunt food. I could do same with another crate if there are other would be carriers." |

Outside you find that there are a few market stalls being set up and you are easily able to purchase what you need for your journey.

Zalmoxis.
The apprentice listens to Jamuss. He seemed comfortable with travel. "Aye, you're right. I'll start gathering things and bringing them here." He retrieved the gold from the dancer and set about his tasks, leaving the woman to purchase her own clothing.

"I make use of your crate then. You get knives, they can be used to whittle stakes, then used for tents or simple traps around camp." Jamuss was loud enough so that passersby could hear his reasoning for why an orc blood was breaking stuff in the middle of town. He let the equipment buying volunteer go about his purchases, and went about cracking up another crate lid.
