Tempo and tone are great. I love it.

Making sure my reading comprehension is not failing me, my next post should address what I do on the first day of the ride, and I can safely assume that we get to the end of the first day and set up camp?

In a nutshell:

• I assume you all ride the maximum amount of time (12 hours); this puts you into the late evening for this particular post. Sun has set, you're dealing with twilight (low light, basically).
• Any purchases made with your retainer may be wrapped into your last post, or not addressed.
• Your post may address anything you wish to do on the road, and definitely should address the group setting up for the evening. It's cold out, after all.

Edit: Note, I assume that Vallo is fine with spending two spell slots on Mount a day during travel. I did not catch any Extend Spell metamagic at work.

Edit Edit: I ALSO have been assuming that there is magically some way you can shift all the weight around so as to ride your mounts at max speed. Please don't do the math and show I am wrong somewhere. Let's assume it is fine by MAGIC.

Does anyone else have any kind of skills that will help set up camp or should I just assume keeping everyone from dying of cold is going to be the druid's job?

Also, I can ride max speed. Tis' why I bought a heavy horse. If you don't want to know math, I recommend not looking at my sheet though- I keep painstaking track of weight by habit.

Granted, if someone tosses like, so much as a pack of crackers on him I drop speed, but hey.

Ok I obviously didn't get a post up the other day when I said I would...sigh. It has been a tough week and half with long hours at work and my health issues leaving me exhusted each evening. I am going to try for a post right now and hopefully something comes to me worth putting up. I'm going to hang in here and try to ride this current rough patch out as long as the DM will let me.
